I have a Nokia 6288 with a faulty LCD. I replaced the LCD with an OEM display, and everything is working well except the backlight. Could the new LCD have shorted out the voltage supply to the screen?
Thanks for your help.

The solution is simple. When you click in the replacement LCD electronic plug, the plug beside it needs opt be re seated into its own plug. This is a wider plug that looks similar to the replacement one but is wider.... Push it back in (Re Seat it) and the backlight will work....

You should go have it checked by a nokia care technician or at the very least a Mobile phone technician, it is possible that there's a short or there is improper installation especially when we try and do it ourselves. Have it checked so problems of your phone won't pile up...
