I have a Sharpe LC-32P70E and in the past it has done the same, but now it does not go to standby, but just turns off. The only way to keep it on at the moment is by cellotaping (with weights) the top on/off button down.I have a Sharpe LC-32P70E and in the past it has done the same, but now it does not go to standby, but just turns off. Hi Ansari
It sounds like a main board problem. The control voltage that goes to back-light inverter board; from the main board, goes down. Contact any service technician. This is not a user repairable fault. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
i need a pedestal stand for sharp aquos 32 inch tv and do not know where to get. check on line it seem no one has it. where can i get one? do not want to spend a lot of money not more than 50 dollars.
I'm not certain of the specific model number of your set, but this should be the same for all Sharp Aquos models.
First, navigate to TV input, and select menu Next, enter setup and select, "ez setup" In the ez setup menu, select "home", not "store", for television location.
This should turn off the demo mode and solve your issue.
I have the same model that quit working with its remote or any programmable one a found a solution here on FixYa. Turn off the TV and unplug it. Hold the power button on the TV for 10 seconds then plug the TV back in. My remote worked again by doing this.

I have the same problem with my 37" HP which is the same as Sharp Aquos, it's bad backlight inverter boards, the screen comes on for a second then nothing, no menu, no channel change indicator then turn it off and you hear the clicking of the power supply about 10 seconds after.
