Hi there.. Is your computer is a laptop or desktop? If it is a desktop locate the dark color green port hole on the back of your computer and plug in the speaker after you plug it in turn on the speaker and play some music. That should work the same thing with the laptop but mostly it's located either left or right side of the laptop and same dark color green port hole. Try it. God Bless!
there could be 3 problems
A) the speakers are broken
B) if its a new pc it probably has a sound card with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound capabilities so you might have plugged it into the wrong port
C) since it is now this probably isn't correct but your port could be broken
To see if its problem A simply get a new set of speakers and plug them in see if it works
If its B then make sure its pluged in to the green input and it says "out" not side center or back
if its C return the comp and get a new one
And btw make sure you check the port with the old one and the new one to make sure that even thought you plugged it into the right port it didn't work because it was broken
Generally the input/output jacks on computers are color coded and the green is for speak output. If you still don't get sound, verify you have working sound card drives installed in your OS and that the volume isn't muted.
The audio cable on the speakers should go into the green audio port on the back or your PC. Once that is plugged in, if you still don't have sound go into your sounds and audio devices in the control panel and make sure the volume is not off or muted.
check for the power button is on behind the woofer or speaker,if ur speakers does not have switch hten select the volume control optin and click the properties and check the sounds by clicking the speaker images in that window.if u have problem again, askme through fixya again.
1.)Try connecting your speakers to another machine ? Then you can distinguish if the speaks or the cable is faulty or your sound software on your machine.
2.)install the l8est drivers for your sound card or audio device
3.)try the front usb, sides or other usb ports
4.) If your speakers also have "Jack" connectors, either try plugging into another audio port at the back of your machine or try the front audio ports
5.) Are the speakers powered on ? Is the volume on the speakers muted OR is the sound in your system on your machine muted or turned off or turned quiet ???
