1st ur oem dell key found on ur pc is compatible with both 32x and 64x but u must backup ur os before reinstalling use windows 7 maintenance section to do a full backup
2nd check ur oem version if on the key if pro or home premium then google to find an iso compatible with ur version but 64x after that head to the dell website and download the specific drivers
The very first step is of course to check your web cam connection. Most web cams use the USB port to connect to the PC, so check if your USB cable is properly plugged. For build-in web cams this steps does of course not apply. Many new laptops have a build-in web cam. Also try connecting your web cam directly to your PC instead of through a USB hub (if you are using one).
The next thing is to do is to check your Windows Device Manager and see if the hardware is recognized and installed properly.
It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem. Other devices in Windows XP device manager
If the device is not recognized in Windows XP, Right-click the device, and in the pop up menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.
In case no driver for the web cam can be found, you can try a third party driver finding program that scans your PC for installed hardware and allows you to install missing drivers.
If this fails, the next step would be to un install the software that came with your web cam. Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel. If that does not work you can use a third party un installer.
After un installing the software, restart your PC and then reinstall the web cam software. In most cases this will solve the problems. Depending on the software, you might need to unplug your web cam during the software installation. If your problem is not fixed then you have to buy a new one.
Hope the above information will be helpful to you. Thanks.
it is ok if your have 32x for your driver 64x will be backwards compatible unless you are receiving an error after the installation then you really would need the 64x drivers for that USB adapter ^_^ but I believe your 32x should work on the 64x, on lt the 64x driver if installed on a 32x will not work because it will be higher than what the system requires but if you already have 64x in your computer and you only have a drive for 32x then It should work.
the drivers might need to be a 32x 64x or check with the product sightand look for pruduct support / drivers-downloads check for you model type and re-download drivers and install but before installing remove drivers previously installed. hope this helps
You have to go online and search then download the drivers for preparing SATA laptop harddrives for installation of Windows XP otherwise during installation it will tell you there is no hard drive found.
