Transfer recording from tape recorder to computer

I have a SONY IC Recorder ICD-R100 and wish to transfer a recording on it to my laptop Toshiba satellite 1415-S173. I need a special driver for that which I can't find. How can I transfer a voice conversation to my computer? Could I transfer the audio from the Headphone jack on the recorder to my computer in some way?

Use a cable running from the headphone jack on the recorder into your PC microphone jack. Then you can capture the audio using Windows MovieMaker software that comes with Windows XP. I have done this and it worked perfectly.

Transfer digital recording to computer to make CD

As there is no USB port on this IC Recorder, you can connect the Headphone OUT of the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound Recorder Software to capture the files. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software preinstalled in the Computer. After transferring the recordings to the Computer, you can use any CD Burning Software to burn the files to a CD.

Sony ICD-UX70/UX80 digital recorder...memory full problem

If you press and hold down the "menu" button scroll down to the FORMAT selection and press enter. This will reformat the device.
I had the same problem - I think it arose after disconnecting the IC Recorder when it became unresponsive with the computer.
Make sure you transfer all your files first to a computer or back up source.

Download Sony ICD-B25 digital recorder to computer

I have found conflicting information on this recorder. According to product specs on Amazon.comUK This recorder has no computer connection.

If this product description is wrong you should see a USB connection somewhere on the recorder. Just connect the USB cable from recorder to your computer. If you did not receive a USB cable with your recorder you will have to buy one. You will have to determine if you need a mini or regular USB cable. Then double click on my computer. You should see the device listed there. Double click on the Sony device icon. The files on your recorder should now be showing. You should then be able to drag the files to a folder of your choosing on your computer.

ICD-B500 Recorder

An adapter will not fix the problem. The files cannot be transferred to a computer using a USB port. The files must be transferred analog using the recorder's headphone cord. The files are then recorded to the computer from the Sony recorder using a program such as Windows Recorder. The ICD-B500 has many great features but archiving to a computer is not one of them.
