Kyocera does not list the S3X, but the driver software listed for the S3R will probably work for you. NOTE: according to the site, the driver is only needed for Windows 98 and 98SE. Windows 2000, Me, and XP are plug and play (no software needed). Vista and Windows 7 may or may not be supported. You can download the driver here:
It depends on what operating system you are using.
Here is a link for the driver (looks like it's for Windows Vista, XP, 2000).
From the description: "You must have DirectX 9.x or higher and Internet Explorer 6 or higher
installed prior to installing this software. If you have Windows XP,
you must have at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed."
If your computer is Win ME/2000/XP you do not need software from a disk Windows can do it all by itself Simply plug the camera into the USB port and Windows will put up the scanner camera wizard - follow the prompt
Camera do not need drivers in NTFS systems[2000/XP/Vista]
If you have put the software disc in - take it out.
Simply plug the camera in - make you you have set it to upload and switched on -
and Windows Scanner /Camera Wizard does the rest
