Cannot get new mp3 player to work

I have just bought a GIO 2gb mp3 player but despite following what little instructions there are, i cannot get it to work. As there is no software disc it says to connect the mp3 player to the computer via usb and the software will be installed from the mp3 player and ready to use, but this is not happening. my media player is not detecting the device, and i cannot send music to it.

When i click the on button and hold down the play button

It says HOLD and then it says BYE

Why wont it let me turn it on???

And HOW???

My mp3 player go gear 2GB philips won't play it just keeps on cutting off saying device manager. i will not acccept this this is a brand new device and i don't appreciate the dfect please get bac with me thank you so much.

Make sure you know that the middle red button is the play/pause button and the middle right side button is the power/stop button (to stop just click that button once, dont hold)

The Onix Mini Coupe I works just like a flash drive ... I am only running W2K ... I plugged it in and it was recognized ... copy mp3 files to the drive that appears in your list of disk drives. (just at the lowest (root) level). It works fine.

its a software problem....download the firmware from http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/Driver/MP650FWV1.65.zip the press reset button for 2 seconds and then connect to system while pressing volume - button..run the updater and click on search devie..follow the instructions in the attached file for more details

On your sansa, go to "Settings" then System Settings" then "USB Mode," then change it to MSC, if that does not work, try the other modes, just in case.

You will have to drag music onto it from your hard drive that you either bought, downloaded, or converted to MP3 format.

Plug in the MP3 player via USB to your computer
Choose to Open Folder and view files
Open a new folder and go to where you have MP3 music
Drag the music you want on your mp3 player from your music library

NOTE: Make sure to use the function "Safely Remove Hardware" on Windows computers, before unplugging the drive otherwise you can cause the player not to work correctly.

Micro sd 4gb card problems.

Check the Sansa tutorials at http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1468
to make sure you have followed all the steps first.

In my experience, every mp3 player/photo frame/etc with a card reader has a MAXIMUM memory limit for the type of card that it can read. It is possible that the Sansa player can only read 2GB Micro SD cards or smaller - and thisi nformation may not have been available when they printed the manual. If you have followed all instructions, and it still will not read the card, try switching to a 2GB Micro SD card.
