Samsung tab 3 frozen on the on screen. code 10 fault code

Forcing a complete Reset works. This option keeps all your existing data.

  1. Hold Volume Down and Power button until presented with two icons (Open box and an arrow and an Adroid Doll)
  2. Select the left option.
  3. Volume down to toggle between options. Volume up to select.
  4. Will be presented with the Recovery Console.
  5. Select the first option "Reset"
  6. Here the volume buttons are used to navigate up and down and the power button to select.

After selecting the reset option your Galaxy tab will fully boot up again..

Tablet is frozen will not activate, plug into wall or usb tablet comes alive but no touch to turn on. Appears locked up, no way to take battery out for reset. any ideas

Try one of the following:

- Hold the power button for 10 seconds
- Hold the power and up volume for 10 seconds for recovery mode
- Hold the powe and down volume for download mode for 10 seconds

If none of these work then your battery might be completely drained and dead. I suggest you send your contact Samsung Support.

Hope this helps.

The home page does not load despite rebooting and switching off the tab. Please help.

Try holding the Power Button and Volume Up buttons for approximately 10 seconds. If the device still doesn't display anything, you have a really serious issue. If you see the Samsung logo appear, release the power button but still hold the Volume button. This should boot into recovery mode after which you can release the volume button. Now, you can perform a hard reset (returning the device to factory settings) by following the steps below:
  1. Navigate the menu with the volume up/down buttons until you have wipe data/factory reset selected
  2. Press the home button to confirm the selection
  3. Press Volume Up to continue
  4. Leave the Tab to go through the reset procedure.
WARNING: This will completely reset your device to the state it came out of the factory in. You will lose all data, settings and installed apps. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
