There is no heater on that machine. Does the water leak as soon as you start the fill cycle or does it start to leak when the water level gets up to the agitator?
Anti-siphon valves prevent water from siphoning back into the water
supply. Also known as vacuum breakers, anti-siphon valves are used on
washing machines, faucets, toilets, sprinklers and other water sources. A
leak on an anti-siphon valve can cause deterioration of the appliance's
external components and damage the flooring material underneath the
washing machine. Therefore, a leaking anti-siphon valve should be
attended to as soon as possible.
Leaks are probably going to come from one of 4 places:
Door gasket: water should run down the face of the washer from the lowest point of the door.
Water connectors: left rear of machine
Soap drawer: water running down front of machine from the upper left-hand side
Discharge pump and hoses: Right side.
Rear right would probably indicate a discharge hose leak. Front right would most likely be the discharge pump and/or connectors to it. Here's a diagram:
If you don't see any of the easily visible leaks (door, soap dispenser, connectors), try to pop off the front access panel by removing the 3 bottom screws. Once removed try to determine where the leak is originating from...then we can troubleshoot more.If you find this advice helpful, please don't forget to rate me -- trying to get my Guru level so I can offer premium support
Any solution to your problem?
I am searching because mine started the same behavior tonight.
I hope that you found a solution, and would be willing to share it!
Water can't leak out the top from overloading unless the entire tub is full of water which is a major malfunction, or an inlet hose between the powder drawer and tub is somehow blocked (extremely unlikely).. Are you using topload detergent? Normal detergent can foam up and out through the drawer and leak onto the floor..
Normally water enters through the top of the powder tray to disperse it into the tub. pull out the tray slightly while filling to see how this works. You might be able to identify that the water is not flowing properly. Normally you can really pack into a front loader, I've been thrilled with my 5100 for 8yrs.
If this doesn't help let me know and I'll suggest next step.
Good luck!
it sounds like it's a prob from the water solenoid to the drum and/or the soap box there is a hose that runs between these items to get the water into the drum
Sounds like the main bearing has gone bad and that is causing you to loose water on the floor. There is also a rear seal back there that will need to be replaced
Thank you for your prompt response to my problem
