The phone indicates water damage but there was no contact with water. The phone was otherwise working fine...randomly screen went white, phone shut off, water damage indicators were pink?

Try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

I have (2) problems: 1.. Randomly shuts itself off (extremely frustrating) 2.. Front Screen goes to solid white, although inside screen works fine. Thanks

hello,it could be as a result of bad battery that your mobile phone shut itself off,so you will need to get a new battery,it's a flex problem you are encountering with your screen,so you will need to get a new flex, after that is fixed you will have your phone working as supposed.

take care.

What happened? My screen went all white randomly. I turned my phone on and the screen is blank white. The buyttons work, I just can't see anything.

I have this same problem. I went to Verizon and they told me that the phone is not repairable so i need to buy a new one. I told them to ********! Now i lost all my pics, contacts, and videos. This was in 2007 and since then i never went back to Verizon. They just steal your money in a way!

Screen went solid white cant get it to do anything inside, outside works ok

If you haven't tried to power it off and on then do that. If you haven't removed the battery and checked for water damage that is what you do next. If there is no water damage, replace battery and try to power the phone up. If you still have a white screen, you may have a manufacture defect. Take it to the store or call tech support on another phone otherwise they won't be able to troubleshoot with you if you are using the phone with the problem.

Red x's the back back of the battery, right in the middle of texting the phone shuts off and when i go to turn it back on the fromt screen is all white and it freezes. i didnt drop the phone in water or...

white background with detailed pink 'x's across the top is a dry indicator on some phones, such as LG ENV3. If the sticker gets wet the pink 'x's dissolve and the sticker becomes pink. Be careful some people at verizon or other cell phone companies think all indicator stickers are white....this is why they work at a cell phone store 5 years after high school, they don't understand continual education and reading literature.

Verizon Voyager will not chage or work on battery, fine on AC

Sounds like the battery connections may be corroded, try gently cleaning them with a pencil eraser. Clean the connections on the battery and in the phone. Water damage is indicated by a red indicator in the phone. if it is red it indicates water damage which is probably why they will not replace it. If you have insurance on the phone that may be an option for you.

White screen sony ericsson w810i

i got the say problem 2 days back. I read some pots in forums. This is what worked for me. First fully charge the phone some. Get a friend's phone or something. Then get ready with the data cable and your computer with internet.

Goto Sony ericsson site.

search for w810i SEUS Sonys update system.

At the bottom result it says"Sony Ericsson - Support - Update Service Compatible with K510i W810i W200i .

Click on that and dowload the program. At the right corner it shows the phones which supports it.

install the program and run it.

do exactly what it says.

it worked for me. I got all my contacts and messages back.
Good luck

Screen

Can you see water inside the LCD? if you can have a professional clean it out for you. If not, try replacing your battery because if it somehow got wet too then water does more damage to the battery than the rest of the phone. if it's still not working reply here and I'll help further
