SOURCE: Turn camera on and it beeps twice then shuts off after 5 seconds

I Totally fixed my CAMERA!
If you turn on your camera, the lens does not come out, and it just beeps then turns off, then listen to me.
You need to unscrew the outer casing and take off the metal shell.
Hold the camera in one hand, palming it, looking at the LCD (ie the lens is pointing into your palm). This is to orient you.
If you look at the left SIDE of the camera, near the upper left corner of the LCD, you can peek through some of the windows of the black casing and see 2 PLASTIC GEARS. One is white, the other is black. These are the gears that actually move the lens in and out. All I did was give the white gear a good jiggle with the tip of a pen and evidently it made the teeth of the gears mesh together like its supposed to and .... VOILA .... the lens came out when I powered it on and all is well! I know this is gonna help someone!

SOURCE: The camera beeps 3 times on startup and then shuts down...

You have dirt trapped in the lense mechanism. use compressed air can to blow it out then turn camera off ans slap it into the palm of your hand a few times and turn on again to test if it has cleared. This is not a joke it actually works. Lots of these types of cameras suffer from this problem and I have fixed them using this method. Passed on By a Canon Tech!!! It certainly worked for mine . Be persistent some work immediately others take several goes of blowing and slapping face down

SOURCE: I turn camera on. Lens comes out. beep 3 times. turns off.

Everytime I try to turn it on, the lens comes out for about a second, the camera beeps 3 times, the lens retracts and the camera shuts off. The battery is completely charged and the camera is only 4 months old. HELPP :(

My son dropped it now it wont open turn it on it beeps three times and shuts off

Unfortunately, with Polaroid cameras, if you hear (3) beeps and it will not power on; this means INTERNAL FAILURE and it's unable to be repaired.

My philips pt44434 digital camera is dead

The reason why your camera is beeping 3 times and then shutting off is because it is dead. Charge it for a couple of hours or so and it will turn on and work again.

Camera beeps loud 3 times and shuts right off!!

sounds like a lens error, does the lens extend or retract? You probably have to get the lens back on track, use gentle pressure wiht the camera face down on a towel covered table and turn on to see if the camera tries to retract the lens. I really dislike these types of cameras that extend the lens everytime, if it turns on in your pocket, your doomed!

Camera will not stay on.....

the 3 beeping sound means that the camera has low battery capacity. the lens is stuck out because there is incorrect battery connection. there is an option on the camera setting for the battery type. try this one:
-turn the camera on
-click on Menu button
-select options using left/right, up/down button
-select Set up 2
-Select Battery type
-Select Alkaline for non-rechargable
or Ni-MH for rechargable
-click OK button

this setting should be done when using camera for the first time and whenever you are switching battery types, from rechargable to non-rechargable and vice versa.

The lens doesnt close and when i turn the camera on it bips three times and the screan shuts off. the lens wont close.

The batteries need to be changed. The digital batteries sold at the stores die out too fast. I had this same problem. In result, I purchased rechargeable battieries.
