The only other thing is if the hardware stores don't have thepart if your still under warranty you can call the manufacturer and they will replace the lid foryou.... the handle is hard to find. i use to work for the company they are hard to find. especially for a 38601. if you have any problems finding it please let me know and i;ll see what i can.

MOST COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS RIVAL you cannot buy the handle but what you can do is go to a hardware store and buy a big wooden knob for 1.00 it even comes with its own screw ... you might have to snap off what is left of the old handle screw buy useing a screwdriver and a pliers and a quick twist and it will snap right off , then install your wodden one . its that easy ... one more note , the side handles on this pot snap off too without warning . so dont move it when its full , people have been burned BAD ... dont forget to rate this answer thanks and good luck
