    My Vizio is a 32" screen. When the TV is first turned on I see light green fuzz on the screen. I see this no matter what input I'm using (HDMI,Component or TV via an over the air antenna). The problem does go away after about 15 minutes. I purchased the TV in July 2007.

    I have a Vizio 50" 1080i. When I first turn the TV on, there is a greenish speckling on the brighter images (sort of a fluroescent mold effect). This generally lasts for no longer than 5 minutes and sometimes a channel change will correct this. I have owned this for about 5 months and this problem only started about a month ago.

    37" Vizio bought from Costco Seattle Dec 2007. Same problem, green screen on all inputs.

    I have a 52'' vizio and the screen will turn green where there is black, and pink where there should be whites. Usually after the tv has been on for a little while. I can sometimes change channels back and forth, and it will go away. Only to happen again 20 minutes later. Vizio support told me it was the hdmi cables, so I changed them with no luck.

    42" LCD, same problem, all inputs. comes and goes - sometimes changing channels, sometimes, turning TV on and off, sometimes turning cable on and off. Purchased 9/14/08 at costco

    We have the same problem, brand new TV two weeks old started doing that. At first it cleared up after turning it off and then on again, but now two minues after it's on and it doesn't clear up. Do other brands have this problem or is it only Vizio? Vizio offered to send out a replacement but will take 7-14 days. Taking it back to Costco right away, but am leary about Vizio now.

    my tv generates green color in the area that seem to be reserved for the blackest portions of the video. I first thought it was the HD digital signal (HDMI) but then the problem arose while watching DVD (Component video input). The Vizio tv is a 47 inch with the 1080p and 120hz.

    I have the same green screen problem!

    Green pixel mold fills in the blacks. I have the 47 inch and it goes across all inputs. I am returning it to Costco since I have only had the set for 2 weeks. I will never buy a Vizio product again.

My 37" vizio I bought in Dec 2007 did this (green screen at start-up on all inputs). At first it went away by itself after you left the unit on for 15 minutes, but then 2 days later the whole thing DIED. Luckily Costco has a 90 day return policy on TVs.

Vizio tech support suggested this (before it died that is):
Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.

How do i get a movie to play from computer to the tv with hdmi

If your TV has an HDMI input - connect up the computer to the TV with an HDMI cable.
Select HDMI on the TV inputs.
Play the DVD on the computer, should appear on TV is Input is set. Sound may be a fiddle ~ check you PC sound settings if there is none.
The computer will usually show a blank screen when the HDMI is going elsewhere,
Good luck

Insignia 37 inch lcd inputs not working except for hdmi inputs

TV when hooked to Direct TV by HDMI will not work, it must be hooked by RCA cables. I now have 1080i rather than 1080P. The HDMI cable and the direct TV box has been changed. What can the problem be?

Need vizio code for Samsung remote!!

I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).

Vizio L32 32 in. HDTV LCD HDMI input not working

I recently had the same problem with my vizeo hdmi port # 1 going bad. Tried everything to fix and called vizeo. There solution for a master reset was turn off tv and unplug from the wall. then hold down the power button for 30 secs and let go. plug the tv back in and hold down the volume down and input select buttons down on side of the tv for 15 secs. release the buttons and turn the tv on after powering down all the components connectd to the tv. If this does not work they told me you need to have it sericed for a bad hdmi input. Hope this info helps anyone out there. It didn't work for me. Its a bummer cause the tv is well taken care of and only 18 months old. Best of luck to all others.

Vizio GV42LHDTV - No video inputs

my 42 also went black, and the "vizio" logo in front indicates as if it is turned on, it clicks on and off, but just has no output on the screen, meaning not a black screen, just a dead, no image, even when the system has clicked on

I tried turning off, on, unplugging, letting it sit (kind of like a reboot wishful thinking), removed all connections in back, (nothing still, not even the blue screen) just nothing.

What a shame, I had the unit less than 6 months, and now this? I have work to do, and I can't get it done.

Vizio GV42L LCD TV screen black when turn TV on first time

If you are using a set top box this might be caused by turnig the box on at the same tie as you turn the tv on or slightly after you turn the tv on.  If you are using compnent or HDMI inputs the set needs to see the signal as it is turned on to know what formt the signal is in.
