When my typewriter is turned on two lights flash (the 1" and 2") and that is all that it will do. It will not respond, it is frozen. You can turn it off and on but it stays the same. Any suggestions on why it is doing this and what happened
You probably hav a keyboard problem, unplug the keyboard and turn on t/w, if the condition is the same it's the keyboard.
The right connector has a groug of 6 etchings bussed together, wrap a piece of foil over the connectors and plug in and test.
BE SURE TO ONLY JUMPER THE 6 BUSSED CONNECTORS!
To get to the keyboard connectors on a personal ww you must remove the cover, onthe base of the T/W on both sides there is a slot insert a scrwedriver into th top of the slot while lifting on that side of the case, once the case is loose in the rearlift it up povoting it at the front. Press the two lower rt keys and lift. BE GENTILE YOU DON'T WANT TO UNPLUG THE LIGHT PANEL.
Now you can see and unplug the ketboard.
