I can not get my headset GN netcom 9120 to sink-up with the base

The headset is a replacement. I can only get a red light blinking when I put it on the cradle. As soon as it is removed from cradle, there are no lights, which tells me there is no communication to base. I've already completed the routine for synching up a new headlset per the manufacturer's instructions The base is a BCE-GN9120 THanks! Henry

Hi
this has not synch up keep headset in cradle and remove power at mains plug or power lead from base count to 5 and replace power if no flashing is seen then you might have to repeat the same procedure a few times for synch to happen
the only other reason for no synch is battery in headset is not charged enough

Blow gently on both the pins that sit up from the base and the hole the pins go into, if you have a soft brush, use that gently to clean.

check the pins are not bent or broken.

Battery Light Won't Go Solid. Lot's of clicking sounds and lights flashing (GN Netcom 9120).

It sounds like it may be a defective unit in that the charging points on the base and the earpiece are making intermittant contact, hence the clicking noise you get when the unit goes into headset mode and the fact that the battery never reaches a fully charged status.

A couple of things to try:

  • Check the charging points/contacts on the base and the earpiece for damage.
  • If they look ok, gently clean them with some spirits and try again.

Trying to switch out my base unit on the 9120 I am trying to trouble shoot a loud screeching sound that happens when I hang the phone up cant get my head set to switch to the new base

The loud screeching is probably due to the headset mic volume being too loud, or the campatability setting on the base station is in the wrong position for your phone.
To register a new earpiece to a base station, simply put the headpiece on the charging dock and leave it there while you disconnect the power, wait about 20 seconds and then reconnect the power. All the lights on the base should flash a couple of times and then the green charging light will start fashing as normal. The headset should then be registered.

Pairing

No... But you can connect the headset to the base, unplug the base for about 20 seconds, re-plug the base and it should sync together.

GN Netcom GN 9120 - can't hear

Hi There, I had the same problem with a headset one of our call centre reps were using. It's usually due to some one fiddling with the button. I got it working by removing the battery from the headset then resinked the headset to the base unit. Hope it works for you

The headset keeps blinking a red light

I had this very same issue which was remedied when I unplugged the headset recharging dock for approximately 5 seconds then plugged it back in. After about 10 seconds everything re-synced and was fine after that. -No more blinking.
