Hello rtargo21
There are several factors that can contribute to this problem.
Firstly, let the system completely cool down. Turn off the power, and move the unit into an open area and try turning it on again to see if the problem persists. If so, leave it off for at least 30 minutes then try again.
I would also recommend vacuuming the air vents. DO NOT use compressed air as this can cause further damage.
Where your system is positioned can also make a big difference.
- Make sure the system is at least 4 inches away from any walls.
- Don´t leave it on a rug or carpet.
- Try to give it as much open space as possible so that the fan can dissapate the heat efficiently.
If after trying all the above steps, the problem still persists, you may have to consider sending it in for servicing. If it´s still under warranty, take it back to the place you purchased it from. Otherwise, go to the official Playstation website to receive instructions on how to do this in your country.
Hope this helps. If you require any further help, feel free to contact me. Good luck!

first u check to change another memory
last ur fans in ur cpu not work fine so can not heat relieving for ur cpu so when overheat it auto turn off
I have the same problem and you can fix it by entering in factory service mode:
1. Turn the monitor ON 2. Turn it Off 3. Press and hold MENU button and turn the monitor ON, led should glow orange 4. Press MENU again and service pop up will show up 5. Choice AUTO
Blue color on my screen vanished.
I have found this solution on polish forum. http://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1949561.html
PSU could also be playing up and not giving correct voltage to motherboard - check outgoing voltage from PSU with voltmeter and check product standards for that model... If ok then it could be the motherboard itself - all it takes is a capacitor or transistor/logic gate(switch) and it will start behaving unusual...
Not sure which windows you are using but on my Vista there is also a setting for power saving on the PCI Express video card. Have you tried changing that setting. Not sure if that would be the problem but worth a try. Mine is set for maximum power saving but it hasn't turned off on me except while watchng a video. I haven't played a game so don't know if it affects games. It's under advance power settings \ PCI express \ Link state power managment. Turn it to Off and see what happens.
I am guessing you are playing games with a joystick because using a mouse or keys would probably stop the computer turning off the screen. Is there a setting under your game controller preferences for power saving?
You might also have a seperate control panel that installed with your video card that lets you change settings outside of Windows. I have Nvidia Control Panel on mine you might have something else. Maybe you can change something there as well.
