Will not print two-side printing (print on both sides of the page)

My X83 Inkjet printer is 6yrs.old.

It worked fine until 1mo. ago. I turned on the printer, it would not print, so I un-installed & reinstalled the printer. It worked but the two-sided featrure still refuses to work.

I called Lexmark's, GEEK; after 34min of paid time, the problem is still unsolved.

PLEASE HELP! thank you

Try this Remove the printer from the control panel. Then go to start, then search, then in the files and folders box type the name of the printer and search, If it brings up what we call hidden files then right click on the first one go to delete and remove it, Do the same for the remaking files. Then reinstall the printer software. If this is on Vista check their site for current updates. i hope this helped.. Be mucho blessed... Mark

How to duplex print with 895cxi

This model printer does not have a duplex unit and cannot print double sided documents automatically.
DOUBLE SIDED PRINTING USING A SINGLE SIDED PRINTER
If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

If I schedule a print for my Lexmark X83 it feeds one sheet of paper straight through to the tray but does not print anything. No alarms anywhere on system. Same thing occurs if I ask for test print or...

Sounds like a clogged print head. In the lexmark printer software there should be a maintenance tool where you can try and clean the print heads.
By the same token the X83 is about 10 years old and well past the life cycle of most ink jet printers so if the troubleshooting tools don't get it back in order, it will be cheaper to replace than to repair.

7210xi has problem printing on back of pages

This is not a fix, but a workaround. When you need to print on the back of a page, remove all other paper from the tray. It's not rocket science but it works. Your printer's manual probably says not to print on both sides.

Paper will not feed into printer

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

HP PSC 1410 will not print, printer icon is no longer on the bottom right hand corner of screen either. When i turn off the printer and turn it back on it prints the test page only.

Dear kappa, It is the problem related "Alignment of cartridge" your printer is working properly, I am suggesting a method, with the help of this method you will never get test page until you lift out your cartridge from your printer. When next time printer print a test page, take it and put it into the scanner, remember the printing area should be the side of mirror and the printer prints on the above side of the paper should be left side of the scanner. And press scan button, you will see the green light will be blink and a voice of scanner you will hear. After 30 seconds light will stop blinking, Next time when you will turn on your printer, it will not print test page.
