Pet hair and dirty water back on carpet

I have a brand new bissell proheat. Used it today for the first time. Everything seemed to work however after I spray dn go back over the carpet to pick up the dirty water I am seeing wet pet hair back on the carpet in clumps. Also turned it off and placed it on the kitchen floor to troubleshoot and dirty water was coming out. This is a new proheat, why is it not picking up the dirty water and not letting it remain in the machine?

I have a Bissell proheat pet cleaner. works great on carpet. when tool part used dirt sucked up not going in dirty water tank. clean water still in tank.

There is a "diverter" that selects if the clean water is going to the power head and dirty water going to the tank OR clean water is going to the hose brush head and the dirty water is going to the tank. Be sure you are moving the selector full stroke. There are a many good videos on Youtube on this exact topic.

My Bissell Pro Heat Select 2X does not pull up the dirt from the carpet into the water. The water just slowly disappears. The first time I used it the water got really dirty. The very next time I used it...

Inside the plastic suction lid is a little red plastic filter that has to be cleaned out every time you use it because it sounds like your vaccum is not picking up all the hair and debri before you clean the carpet causing the water to be injected into the carpet and disappearing and not filling the tank with dirty water. My brand new bissel little green proheat pet series is spraying solution however it's not hot when it comes out. I put hot water in the tank & turned the heater on. Isn't this the whole point?

Have you checked the user manual? Can be found at http://www.bissell.com/searchresults.aspx?searchtext=little green&mode=userguides

If there is no element then the water will cool down naturally.

Bissell proheat does not pump outwater into carpet

Remove the water tank and shampoo dispenser, unplug the machine, turn it over and check for any obstructions, carpet fluff or pet hair is usually the problem. Hope this helps.

My first time using this..I just want to know where the water goes and where the soap goes..I don't have directions..I was looking for the directions on here but don't see it.. This is a bissell proheat...

hi,

okay the under the lid of the big tank has a place for regular hot water theres a flexible inner bladder inside the main tank- fill that with hot water. When your shampooing the dirty water fills in around it, also between the back wheels theres where the resolve/bissell detergent goes. we use regular washing machine liquid diluted 50/50 in the soap dispenser , its cheaper and does the same thing..also, if you have pets, the bissels have a brush roller mechanism that gets clogged with pet hair quickly and will self destruct, every few rows stop and see how much pet hair is around those rollers and remove it.
