Epson rx595 cannot recognize ink cartridge

Yes and No. Non branded ink cartridges need to be properly programed to work correctly. If you are going to buy non branded, make sure you can trust the seller. Research the seller and you should be ok. Branded is always the best but also always more expensive and non branded always comes with a degree of risk.

Epson Printers are sensitive in terms of Ink Cartridges.. The latest Epson Printers does not have ink reseter.. Ink reseter are already built-in on the ink cartridges.. The problem on this printer is when you have a cartridge on your printer, let say, 30% of the ink level, even though your ink is new, and you change it without using the right ink replacement method, it will recognize your ink as a 30% ink level. When your ink level drops to 0%, but you have remaining 70% of the ink, it does not recognize it anymore. The chip on the ink cartridge is already registered as an empty cartridge.

It could be inks or the printer. Try to reseat ink cartridges. Make sure you are using brand new Epson cartridges. Put it back in. Insure that it clicks into place. You may need to press a button or close the scanner portion in order to initialize the inks.
You can also try to use the printer driver on your computer. When using it, there are on-screen instructions for to follow.
If it is the same issue, try another ink. It could be that the inks that you have purchased are bad.
Same thing? Its an internal problem with the printer. You need to call Epson to discuss the warranty procedures. If they want to further troubleshooting.

From that I will take a guess that you have just bought a new cartridge but NOT an epson one.

If this is the case take it back to the shop and get another or a refund (I would take the refund and go elsewhere and never buy that brand again)

If however it is a proper epson original cartridge then take it back as they to can on rare occasions be faulty.

What you are seeing is due to the ink level chip on the back of the cartridge being at fault or dud.

Try to run the ink pad reset utility software.
Please log on to epson.com. The software runs on win xp and win vista.

Same problem with the one I have. Have always had that problem. Seems like cartridges from Mexico work better. If at first it dont work, JAM IT IN. What the hell, if the printer breaks, you aint lost nothing but a printer that wouldn print anyway.
