Hi. i hve a z310i ... i got it open n it worked good from a few days .. then a headset icon came up in the status bar n it wont go a way ... with this prob. i am unable to hear with the person is sayin on the other side but i can hear them .. i live in Guyana thats on the coast of South America .. can any1 help plz.

try cleaning up the headset hole in the phone using a cue-tip for ears. dry . and if the headset icon doesn't disappear un-plug and re-plug the jack eventually power off / on restarting the phone. see if this helps ;) good luck!
Tap the speaker icon in the status bar, next to the clock one, and make sure that the 'On' checkbox is selected, and that the right slider (for phone) is all the way up. In case these settings seem to be correct, try to soft reset your phone, but sliding its keyboard open, and pressing the reset pin (at the right of the right softkey) with the stylus pen. If you still keep facing this issue afer a soft reset, your phone speaker might be faulty. Consider using either the wired headset or a bluetooth one for phone calls. You need to reset the menu once again as it is possible that the phone had hung up as there was LINE PROBLEMS . Once this was reset the CLIP facility came back. So if you can once again remove power battery and keep aside to reset , then start all over to set up the base and slave units to MESH , the intercom and line facility must work. You can remove the battery from the slave remote units to reset.
You need to remember a couple of things when using amplifiers and
headsets. Normally they will not work if you connect them to a phone
with cordless accessories. Also, you need to make sure that you're
connecting the amplifier to the HANDSET jack on the phone (this requires
removing the handset off of the phone to access an open line). Give that a try and you
should be fine. If not, contact your retailer or Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5538 for warranty service.

i also got this problem, when i went to the service centre, they told me that the whole circuit needs to be replaced along with the keyboard. It sounds costly to me.
