I've got the same problem & have run into the same issues, Bosch denies there is a problem. The more I read though, it sounds like all front load washers have this problem. I wish I'd stuck with a top load. I hate having to leave the door open & running a load of just bleach & hot water is not "Green", it's a waste of water, bleach, electricity, & time. I will never buy Bosch again & will tell everyone I know to avoid them.
When I finish the last load I wipe the gasket fry with a towel and place the towel to "Prop" the door open on the washing machine and let dry for 24ours, as Bosch suggests. Just making sure the gaskets is allowed to dry is the trick to avoiding a "smelly washing machine. Just doing that alone and I've NEVER had any smell issues at all so keep the gasket dry when your
e finished doing the laundry. It's so simple and so easy to do each time. The efficiency of my front load Bosch and the energy savings the clean cloths are so wonderful. I used to stand at the utility room sink and scrub each sock to make sure the bottoms would come clean through the wash. It was hard work!! Now I just put the whites in add detergent and no-chlorine bleach, hit the "stain removal" option and I'm telling you ladies my Bosch does the rest!!! No more scrubbing for me and I like it that way!!!I'm telling you Bosch truly makes "superior" products and has for many years!! If you wipe the gasket dry when you're done with the last load you will NOT create more work for yourself by needing a product to wash your washing machine to get rid of the mildew smell. Your cloths will always BE CLEAN and SMELL clean.Every wash!
