The "washing" light on my 6yr old kenmore 665 dishwasher continuously blinks. The problem started when the washer would sometimes stop in the middle of the wash approximatly 30 min. after starting. Then the washer started to not drain. Now the "washing" light stays blinking while the door is closed but stops after opening the door.

Unfortunatly you are looking at the timer which is now built into the controller which would need to be replaced. If the relays are fused shut on the timer or the gears are missing some teeth then you will only get sofar I the cycle and the washer will just stay where it's.
we have a 4 yr. old built in dishwasher, model #665-15812,the lock-on light is blinking, and the wash and rinse lights are on,but if we push start ,it won't,and if we push the clear button,it won't clear,it's like it's stuck ....we've tried un-plugging,etc....any ideas,on what to do??? donnie-sue79
Sound like door/latch is not providing a secure door close anymore. Push on the door when the lights flash and see if this stops the blinking and continues with wash cycle. If it does, there is either somehing interfering withe the door closing fully, or the door latch on the door or dishwasher side is worn/defective.
Stew, Im not really sure what model you have 665, 587, 363 or what. If it's a 665, it sounds like the wash motor is not getting power. Remove the toe panel and look at the start capacitor. See if one of the wires came off during the reinstallation. Should be on the left side of the wash motor. If one of the wires is off, wash motor won't run. If that's ok, check the main harness to the motor. Catriver
