Am needing to update my Mio satnav but am having difficulty. Having connected it to my computer with the relevant usb cable and loaded the original dvd into my driver I get error messages as follows: 1 A...

Mio uses a tricky little thing to up date, If i remember right on the cd or dvd whichever one you got there should be a program called Active sync or something like that that installs under windows. This program must be running and MUST be installed for you to update any MIO product.

Make sure that this program in installed and running on your computer and then hook up your device. It should be found fairly fast by active sync. Once it has been found and device permissions setup you should be able to update following the procedures you received with the update.

Hope this helps

Hello,
this is a very common problem with this unit.
What version do you have on your Mio Moov?
I have that error when I run the 2100 version on my Mio Moov. I can run the 7200 software without a problem...
Give it a trial.
Regards.

I turn on my device and it only loads up the start page and then hangs there .......

First try a reset... then try turning off the little power switch next to the reset, then turn it back on. If none of this works, your firmware is likely corrupted... then: You either need to return it to Mitac or locate (Google) & flash the firmware file into the unit as follows:

Connect the mio p550 to PC
1.put the Button of the PDA in ON position
2. hold the joystick downward and press the reset button
3.choose "Image Upgrade tools"
4.choose "0=Image by USB"
5.intall the usb driver (PC require the drivers). The driver in the
folder "USB driver" that comes with the firmware file.
6.open the software "dnw5.0e" (also comes with the firmware package).
7.(if you want to make a test of connection USB, click the "USB
port/Status". If all is ok go to step 8
8. click "USB port/transmitted" and to show the way of the file
"MioP550 - Osc260A R05_P09.nb0"
9.press the reset button to restart the mio p550.

For deleting files connect your player with the computer.
When running Windows Media Player 11:

1. Check the automatic SYNC routine for your player.
How to get to the SET UP SYNC
When viewing WMP11 in full mode select SYNC or LIBRARY in the top of WMP11, seeing the Sansa player listed on the left.
Right click on the player and select SET UP SYNC... to go to the SYNC options.

When "Sync this device automatically" is selected, all playlist in the computers' Library will be transferred to the player again, even the previous deleted files. Disable this function to prevent unwanted SYNC.

2. Remove playlists from the library in set up sync, to get the playlists you would like to keep on the player.

SanDisk Sansa e260 4gb Restarts over and over

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once.
