SOURCE: My Sanyo TV DS20930 wont turn ON at all.

With no standby voltage at all neither the remote nor the front button will work. With no indication at all, the first thing to look at is the standby power supply. If you are comfortable working inside the set, there are a few things you can check. If not, you need to deternine how much you want to spend on the set. Figure on a cost of about $50 or so to get a repair estimate. If you'd like, get a detailed estimate, post the results here and we can walk you through the actual repair.

The solution is to replace the AC Power transformer. I have the same problem with my Crosley 4in1 machine. I trouble shooted it and got it to start working when I replaced the AC Power Transformer. The problem still is that It needs to be replaced with the correct 'Power Rated' Transformer.

SOURCE: Won't Power-Up

I fixed it! It's the power supply board. You might have the "white screen of death" problem, and if not you may just need a new board. The board is yellow, it has markings on it that you can look up on a search engine for resellers, and I saw several going for $20-35 after searching google.

The Westinghouse LCM 22w2 has bad capacitors on the yellow power supply board. This is a common problem plaguing motherboards and LCD flatpanels that use capacitors from Taiwan. If you know how to solder, or know somebody that can, it's actually a pretty easy fix. Take out the yellow circuit board on the inside, write down the specifications for each of the capacitors (the cylindrical things) go to the electronics supply store and get the replacement capacitors. You can go over the voltage specification (not under), but keep the capacitance value matching. Replace one at a time. Go to for advice, tutorials and training on doing this. *You really should replace all the capacitors*, but the very large one next to the power plug I did leave on the board because I couldn't find a match. To my delight, the white screen of death went away and it was working as new!

I saved a ton of money fixing this, it's definitely worth learning how to solder to do this. for professional hosting solutions

SOURCE: treadmill powers up but belt will not rotate

Check to see if the motor is spinning. If not spinning, then use a voltmeter to find out the voltage of power going to the motor that spins the belt. See if you can rotate it by hand.

Crosley record player will not turn on and i don't know where to start with troubleshooting it. I have tried different ac adapters and doffeeent outlets with confirmed power.

It seems like you will have to open cabinet and find your power in and check with volt meter to see if your infect getting power there. Also check fuse to see if its blown that can be done by putting your volt meter on ohms and make sure there is no power to the unit then go across fuse to check continuity if these is no continuity then

I just received the crosley keepsake usb turntable and after plugging in the unit and turning it on I found that it was receiving no power. I tried several different outlets and even tried a different ac...

If you just received it? I would return it. You have done everything i would have done. If its brandnew? I would deffinately return it. You don't want to void warranty.

Crosley Record Player Stopped Spinning...

I had this same problem with my Crosley 704 and it bamboozled me to no end.

After digging around I dug up the manual online (I bought mine used so I didn't have one to consult). It turns out the record stops when it gets to the end, and to get it spinning again you have to lift up the tone arm and move it right (past the holding latch) until it clicks, and voila, it starts spinning again, ready for a new record.

You'd think that they coulda made it more obvious :(

PC will not power up. No fans, lights, anything.

Have you tried a different power cord? (longshot, I know, but it is one of the variables that you don't mention)

Have you tried a different A/C outlet?

My Wii will not power on

Have you tried using someone else's Wii power cord? The power outage may have fried the power cord. If you try a new power cord and it still doesn't work, then it seems like the only thing you are able to do is to send it in for repairs. When you try and use a different power cord, borrow a friend's if possible instead of buying a new one, just in case.

How old is your computer? Did you recently have a power outage or anything? Most the time if a computer won't turn on, something in it went bad OR an outlet is bad. Try this:

1. Make sure that the power switch is on, the switch in the back (on the power supply itself) is turned on, and everything along those lines is functioning.
2. If that doesn't work, and it will not power on AT ALL, make sure the cords are plugged firmly in place, including the surge protector and/or the power cord itself.
3. Try resetting the surge suppressor and/or plug the computer into a different outlet in the surge suppressor. Try other items in that surge suppressor (or even in the wall outlet, if that's what you're plugged into) to make sure that the outlet itself is working.
4. If your computer is plugged directly into a working wall or surge suppressor outlet, try a different power cord.
5. If your surge suppressor works, your wall outlet has power to it, and you are using a known-good power cord in the computer, you will have to go into more in-depth investigation as something inside the computer likely went bad. It could be the video card, motherboard, CPU fan, power button, or the power supply itself. Start by testing the video card and the power supply by (one at a time) swapping out a known-good component for the one you suspect may be bad. If it won't turn on after that, try swapping out the next and try it again. If it still will not work, it could be something more serious such as the motherboard or power button.

Good luck!

it could be a bad power supply or a bad motherboard. Other problems might cause issues, such as a bad video card.
