Question about Radio Communications

I am getting the following error:Faraday::ClientError. Message: FUNCTIONALITY_NOT_ENABLED: This feature is not currently enabled for this user.

What feature are talking about and How do I turn it on.

On what? you are giving the error but no details about the problem if it's in your car, on your computer, on your phone or what. we need DETAILS and the more the better. we can't help you properly if we have no clue what it is you're talking about even.

It would be helpful to know what internet browser you are using, but typically you can enable/disable Java in your internet options or preferences.

For example:
I am using Mozilla Firefox, so from the "Edit" menu I choose "Preferences". I then choose the "Content" tab. Under that tab is a checkbox specifically to enable/disable Java.

I suspect that for Internet Explorer there will be a similar situation. I believe that it would be under the tools menu under options.

You can program a button as a HDST (headset) that will toggle this feature on and off.

there are special programs/drivers there that you need to have.
then reboot and nero should pick it up

When the word enable is shown, what it means is : it is disabled currently, by clicking on it you can enable if you wish.

Go into your settings, go to general, scroll down and click on Assessability, then from their you should see a tab that says "VoiceOver" turn it off

It sounds like you have accessibility mode on. This is a feature for disabled individuals to help with certain Features.

To turn this off go to :

Settings>General>accessibility > Turn all features off

How do you go to silent mode?

There are two different kinds of beeps you can control, the "roger" beep and the "button" beeps. Below is an excerpt from the owners manual explaining the simple procedure.

“Roger” Beeps/Talk Confirmation Tone
When you turn this feature On, your two-way radio transmits a unique tone when
you finish transmitting. It’s like saying “Roger” or “Over” and lets others know
you have finished talking. If the person you are talking to does not hear the talk
confirmation tone, you can enable it by pressing and holding + (plus) as you turn On
your radio. Now, whenever you release the PTT, you let your friends know you have
finished talking by transmitting a “Roger” Beep tone. “Roger” Beeps will be
disabled as the Default Setting.
Note: To toggle the Talk Confirmation Tone feature, turn your radio Off and then
back On while pressing and holding + (plus) .

Button Beeps
Every time you press a button on the front of your radio, it beeps unless you turn
Button Beeps Off. To turn Button Beeps Off, turn your radio On while you press - (minus) and
hold . To turn Button Beeps back On, turn the radio Off and then back On again
while you press and hold the - (minus) . On is the Default setting.

To turn Talking Caller ID on or off
You can turn Talking Caller ID on or off for the handset and base unit separately. If
this feature is off, the unit will not announce caller names. The factory preset is ON.
Handset Talking Caller ID feature
1 Press [MENU].
2 Scroll to “Talk Caller ID” by pressing [d]
or [B], then press Select.
3 Select “Off” or “On” by pressing [d] or [B].
4 Press Save, then press [OFF].
