Try right behind the power panel. Certain models you have to remove amplifier back panel. Then some are soldered on and some are encased in some kind of holder usually by the power input. Be carefull of electric shock. Make sure device is un-plugged while powered on to help with discharging internal capacitors if possible or drain caps with appropriate resistor to drain them safely if possible.
Check all fuses and plugs, if they are OK your power supply may have failed.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
Disconnect the power, pull the amplifier out by undoing the screws that hold it in. When you pull it out, look closely towards the top there is a little 1.8A fuse. It probably has blown. Replace that and you should be back in business.
The Dolby curcuit in the Paradigm must be Dolby 7.1 or it will simply not be able to send the extra channel signals to the speakers. In otherwords you will not get the full 7.1 sound from two speakers added to a 5.1 amp.
I have exactly the same situation with my PDR-10. Paradigm techs were of no help, don't me to take it to a service centre which i did. Of course when it was there they plugged it in and it stayed on for a day and a half so no problem right? Get it home, nothing, plugged and replugged, got it on once but not for long. Opened up back, everything including fuse looks solid and fine....to naked eye anyhow.
Paradigm service is excellent and they can supply parts. The amplifier has a one year warr. Check with a dealer or www.paradigm.com
