You can upload WHOLE FILES from your computer to the Player, but you cannot CREATE a new file passing through the computer from the website you are downloading from directly to the player.

If you understand the concepts of a file and the terms upload, download, usb etc you "get it". If you don't know this buy a simple book like any old used "computers for dummies" for a buck, and read it.Don't be insulted by the names (also the Complete Idiot's guides are good)
That's how this very elderly guy learned and my colleagues think I'm a genius

To upload file to the COBY MP3 player, I went to setting, went to USB setting's, changed MTP mode to MSC mode then I was able to get access to folders with-in the mp3 player.

SOURCE: i need help with my coby/media player for vista

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

You don't need to use Windows Media Player in order to put music on your player. There are various reasons why it may not be syncing. Below are instructions for how to put music on the player using copy and paste. It's the easiest way to add music to any regular MP3 player.

How to load an MP3 player without using Windows Media Player. First, allow me to clarify a few things so that there is less confusion: When you connect an mp3 player to a computer, you will not be able to use it until it's disconnected. In other words, the only thing you should do while the player is plugged into the computer is adding or deleting files. You can't use the buttons on the player while it's communicating with the computer, and as long as it's connected to the USB port, it's communicating. Ok, let's get started! Step 1 Connect the player to your USB port using the cable that came with it. (NOTE): If the player has a male USB connector already on it, connect the player directly into the computer without using the cable. In other words, only use a cable if you have to. Step 2 Click the "Start" button or press the key on the keyboard that has the Windows logo, and go to My Computer (Windows XP) or Computer (Vista). Step 3 Locate your MP3 player on this screen. Do not close this window; just minimize it. (NOTE): It should show up under Devices with Removable Storage or as a device under "Other." Most importantly, it should show up on this screen as something! When the player is connected, you should have something on this screen (usually an icon of some sort) that represents the player. This lets you know that the unit is ready to receive files because it's being recognized by your computer. Step 4 Locate and open the folder that contains your music files. Step 5 Using the mouse, copy one or more files. (Right mouse click on file, then left mouse click on copy) Step 6 Go back to the "My Computer" or "Computer" screen, right mouse click on the icon representing the player and left mouse click on paste. You should see a small status bar appear showing the file(s) being copied from your music folder to the player. Step 7 Click on the Safe to Remove icon found in your system tray and disconnect the player. And that's it! If you need additional assistance, I will help in any way that I can.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

My Coby MP828-8G MP3 player is stuck on a blue screen sensitivity test that reads "Touch the Center of the target and hold for one second.Repeat as the target moves." I've already tried...

I cannot go back to calibrate. Even after using reset button on back of player it turns off the player but then when you turn it back on it goes right back to the blue screen again. Cannot get out of blue screen.

I have a icoustic mp3 player which i downloaded music to but i deleted the music

The blue screen is a screen calibration. Just touch the screen exactly in the center of the little boxes in the corners of the screen for about a second and remove your finger. Do this until it says success and you should be good to go.

I am new this mp3 player and I don't know how to download music from youtube to my coby MP610 - 8G. Please help me. Thank you....

get realplayer, download the video. Then, convert it to an mp3 format (it will be in the download menu of realplayer). Lastly, drag-and-drop the mp3 file to your music folder. (NOTE: this will give you the sound of the video, so if someone is talking over it you will still hear it in the mp3 file) Hope this helped.

How do i download music to my mp3

It has to be done using a PC. First download the songs on your PC and put them in a folder. Please remember to name the folder. Next connect the Coby using a USB cable provided by the company to the PC. Click on my computer and see if your see the Coby device on the screen, next right click the mouse on the music folder and select Copy , then right click on the Coby logo on My Computer and select Paste. The music files will be transferred to the Coby device.

Coby MP822 MP3 Player doesn't organize songs by artists or albums, how do I get it to organize them?

Go to the coby site and download the coby media manager the one on the player is corrupt (http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=fix_mp822). Once you get that installed on you PC use it like Windows media player, theres a user guide that helps sync everything. By the way it will put all your music in a folder titled "music" move the music to the folder titled "audio" so you can use the touch screen music icon.

Coby MP822-4G touch screen doesn't work with our MAC!

Unfortunately itunes only works for apple ipods. If the Media Player shows up on the desktop and discover where the music files should be dropped then he should be able to go to his user folder and then the music folder and then the iTunes Music Library and then be able to drag and drop his required music onto the player. Sounds a bit of a fiddle but a final piece of advice try it with one folder or even one music file and then see if it works.
