SOURCE: Jazzy 1200 power wheelchair is electrically

When you say inoperable I am assuming you are not getting a flash code on the joystick. I would check the wiring from the charge meter on the rear? console - you will see a yellow slug in the harness that has a fuse in it - check all the wiring from the meter as this can cause a 'power loss' problem. Of course, check the battery connections as well.

SOURCE: Somehow I have locked my Jazzy 6 Select Electric

Try This:

To unlock the power chair.
1. Use the on / off button to switch the control system on. The maximum speed / profile indicator will be rippling up and down.

2. Deflect the joystick forward until the control system beeps.

3. Deflect the joystick in reverse until the control system beeps.

4. Release the joystick, there will be a long beep.

5. The power chair should now be unlocked.

Hope it works.

Make sure that your drive wheels are engaged and the power chair is not in the freehweel position (so it can be pushed).

Jazzy select. quick operating cutoffs locations, when i hook up the chagrer. the lever control blikks eight times and then quits cant find an opening or a short. i need a copy of the wireing schematic. .

Hi. On some machines eight flashes is a fault code for a faulty motor. Usually means that the brushes have stuck or worn out. Use a multi-meter, and see if both motors have a circuit through them. Good luck. Neil.

The joystick is not sensitive enough, there is a pause between the joystick movement and the motor response. Jazzy 1120 how to adjust it?

The Jazzy wheelchairs have programmable controller. This includes the length of the pause before moving, speed, acceleration speed and deacceleration speed. You usually need a programmer to change the programming. You supplier should have one. For your nearest supplier have a look at the pridemobility website:

Pull the forward and to right to lock position, which will release the gear so that the wheelchair can be move about without any electric power. Bear in mind though that releases the gear, still too heavy to push as normal wheelchair. Give a go, to find out for yourself.

Motor Wiring

Two white wires are for the electric brake.  When the wheelchair is turned off while on an incline, the motors automatically lock up, preventing the wheelchair from rolling backwards.  The white wires disengage the electric brake when power is applied.
