SOURCE: difficulty adjusting carb for smooth idle and full power tilling

Your quickest fix for this problem is to simply replace the carburetor, a Zama K54A. Do it all the time. After that, if you can find a 2 cycle oil, Opti-2, it's the best you can use and it's a one mix for all your 2 cycle equipment (blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, etc.) It's the only 2 cycle I sell in my shop.

SOURCE: echo gas leaf blower bog down

Likely dirt in high speed needle valve(H); could be leaky fuel line(air leaking in), plugged fuel filter, pinched fuel line, etc - anything restricting flow of fuel. Likely, you aggravated an existing problem by cleaning the air filter which would have been providing some choke effect if it were partially plugged.

NEED STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO DO TUNE UP PLZ

So depending on Engine size, you either have 6 spark plugs or 8. The 6 cylinder doesn't have a cap and rotor, so just plugs and wires. The plugs are a 5/8 or 16mm socket. It is a special socket that has a rubber cushion to try and not break the plugs when removing or installing them. Regardless of 6 or 8 cylinder, you want the car to be cold for this. You grab one spark plug wire at a time, twist it back and forth, and pull straight away from the spark plug. Sometimes this is easier said than done. You want to purchase new plugs and wires, and if your car has a cap and rotor, you will want to get those too. I recall the '93 Z28 has a very expensive distributor cap, over $200 so maybe don't change that. The better brand of plugs come pre gapped. AC Delco is a great brand for Chevy. You want to put antiseize on the threads. Unscrew the old one, then install the new one. My favorite tool when doing this is a 6" wobble extension, as it seems to help with most plugs. You can take a piece of vacuum tubing 1/8" and stick it on the tip of the plug to help install the plugs without stripping out the threads in the engine cylinder head. You can remove one spark plug wire at a time and line it up for length with the new one in the set you purchased. Put Dielectric grease in the boot that goes on the spark plug end. Don't put it on the other side (Coil or distributor cap). Although there are many filters that can be involved in a tune up depending on the mileage of the vehicle, the biggest difference in how a car runs typically is spark plugs.

My gilera keeps needing a new spark plug

1st: Are u sure you're using the right spark? There are short and longer sparks, so check it;

2nd: Check if you're using a good oil, since sounds there are excess of oil on cylinder. Maybe changing the autolube oil could help.

Seems to be the spark...plug was replaced....nothing has worked, but machine cranked right on brfore oil and blade change

Remove the plug and hook the wire back up to it, then ground the plug to the motor. Next pull cord like trying to start the engine, checking for good spark. If good spark you problem is elsewhere, like the carburetor. If no spark test the plug on another machine, if still no spark then replace with another plug. Sometimes the new ones are bad. You said that it was running before you started maintenance, so try putting the old spark plug in and try starting again.

Let me know how it goes. I just thought of something, when you changed the oil, did you tip it to drain from the fill hole? If so, my guess is that you will have spark and if you have spark I am willing to bet that you have trash in the carburetor that ended up blocking a hole or a jet.

Anyway, please let me know how it goes.

It sounds like he has the spark plug wires in the wrong firing order. Those are the "hoses" you see on the distributor cap. He changed the rotor $7 part. The timing won't make it shake. It can be off 10 degrees from specification an still run ok. Is it a 6 cylinder or V8?

I'm pretty sure he has 2 spark plug wires out of order. He needs to look up firing order of engine.
When he transferred wires from the distributor cap or put them back on after the plug change, he must have put 2 in different places.

Only other possibility is he cracked a spark plug installing them, it happens.

Put in new spark plugs but now engine ''hunts'' at speed and seems like its mis firing and runs roughly . Its a mitsubishi Magna TR 2.6 l efi

Make sure the parts guy sold you the right spark plugs for your car. Make sure you got the right gap and make sure you put the plug wires back on securely and in the correct order.  I usually do one plug at a time so I don't mess up the order.

CHANGE SPARK PLUGS 2004 GMC ENVOY

Well first you will want to get the right size spark plug socket , the rigt sized one for your envoy and then next you will want to remove one spark plug wire at a time so you do not cross any of the wires or if you do you will mess up the timing for the envoy now how to remove a spark plug wire, look first at the plug wire and then gentky twist the wire on the end that goes over the spark plug and carefuly pull back but do not break the wire, next with an extention and the socket put the socket over the spark plug and turn the plug counter clock wise until you have removed the plug and then put the new spark plug in and place the spark plug wire back on the spark plug and just repeat the prosses on the rest, agin do them one at a time that is how I change spark plugs and wires and i have been doing it for years.
