Question about Luggage & Travel
Just got home from vacation, I have a hard shell suitcase with a combination lock and latches, not a zipper. I know the combination and the left side of the suitcase seems to be open, but the right side is completely sealed and won't release. Any suggestions?
SOURCE: Door Latch does not open door
I threw caution to the winds and removed the outer panel of the appliance. The plastic latching handle practically fell out--it was broken. Called all local parts suppliers--none had any parts in stock for this dishwasher. Called the manufacturer, who had a part listed on his computer at a distant location. Ordered it, paid for it, and was assured the part would be received within 2 days. Incidentally, you can't order just a replacement latching handle. It is included as part of a component.

SOURCE: I closed a tailgate with
remove the tailgate handle trim cover, disconnect handle from side that's not working & pull on rod manually. ( thats if it's not broken already) You have probably broken rod from handel.

I tried working through the series of possible numbers and at the same time gently pressing the lower part of the lock to see if it would open. After a while I used a claw hammer which I gently inserted the claw beneath the lower portion of the lock and again gently prised it and at first go the lock opened and no damage done that I can see. I have not reset the lock yet.

SOURCE: my 86 f150 tailgate wont
remove the bolts from the forward side of the tailgate but be sure to keep control of the handel itself to give you access to the rods to pull the locks inward to release........Hope this helps.
