14.x VDC from the voltage regulator/rectifier. The voltage regulator is powered by the alternator stator windings underneath the flywheel (permanent magnets).

I believe schematics are in the operators manual available for free download from Ferris. www.ferrismowers.com

Check spark plug and ensure choke is set correctly. Choke all the way out to start, then push back in. Make sure gear selector is in neutral and blade not engaged too.

there are one to two wires that come from under the fly wheel. thy are attached to our stator (charging sys) the flywheel has a magnet on it. know the wires my or my not go to a voltage regulator than a fuss and to ether the solenoid battery side, or to the battery. the easy way to check is on your battery with a meter. check battery fri st than start your engine to see if the amps come up should be around 12.9 to 14.6 volt. make sure your at full throttle. good luck, let me know.

indicates that the charging system is not adequate to keep the battery fully charged and the PTO is draining power away from the ignition system
Could be a problem PTO so have it checked by the service dealer

The charging circuit is faulty and is not charging the battery when the engine is running. Best case is a bad connection or frayed cable, worst case is a faulty alternator.

Three possible issues: Bad battery won't hold a charge or rapidly loses a charge. Bad charging system/ alternator. Current draw on the battery when turned off. Use a multimeter to check voltage on battery terminals when it is running. You should see at least 13 volts. Fully charge the battery for about 6 hours, unplug it from the charging system, and then check the battery voltage. It should be at least 12.0 volts, actually a bit higher. If your ammeter can handle it, you could test for current when it is turned off. You want the reading to be 0 or very close to zero,

If the MP3 battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Sounds like your rector fire or the stator which charges your battery when it's running.

Workabout pro wont turn on even with full charge

Make sure that the battery cover screws are in closed position. There is sensor that cuts power to device if battery latches are not completely closed.
