I'M HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING A REMOTE FOR AUDIOVOX 136-4926. THIS IS A UNIT THAT HAS THE PLAYSTATION. IS THERE A UNIVERSAL REMOTE STRONGLY SUGGESTED OR DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN PURCHASE A REPL REMOTE?

Since the codes that Comcast gave you did not work, there is a very high possibility that the remote control is not compatible with the DVD player. You cannot expect universal remote control to work with all devices, regardless of its make. Philips does not have codes for this DVD player because it is the maker of the universal remote control that sets the codes.

I ruined the original remote and had to purchase a new one. I tried two different RCA remotes and could not get it to program. Do you know what the code is or where I can get a new Genesis remote...

Finding a remote that is exactly like the old one can be difficult and sometimes expensive. However finding a very good replacement universal remote is sometimes cheaper and easier. I usually go to bhphotovideo.com and do a search for a cheap universal remote that has all the buttons you desire. Setting the code on the new remote, or any universal remote, is provided in the documentation as codes vary from remote to remote.
You can find a replacement remote typically for 10 dollars that will do everything that the old remote did. Also you can find one that looks better too.

I lost my remote to my sanyo dvd player (sanyo cinematic progressive) and I'm trying to program my dish remote or rca guide plus to it but all the directions that I found don't work, I don't know the code...

remote control now purchase in the market. give the model to salesman compare the model if it same. If no available try the universal remote control.

Need a replacement remote

If you contact Mitsubishi warrenty (dont know what country your in to give you the number) they will be able to order you one, how ever you can also get a universal remote of ebay. I use the ac208.

If you have any problems getting the remote please let me know and I will be able to hunt one down for you

I wish someone would bring a suit against any of these manufacturers using the term 'universal.'
At best, they are 'multibrand' and, with the proliferation of 'brands,' there never will be one that can rightfully claim to be 'universal.'

You should easily be able to find a universal remote that works with your tv, search on the internet or go to an electronics store and tell them the specific brand and version [If its older than 1990 you will have a hard time finding one]
