Coleman Roadtrip 9949 series regulator replacements not working

I have a Coleman roadtrip 9949 series. Movers lost the regulator. I've ordered the part 3x. One regulator said 9949 on box but had a 9928 sticker on it! Anyhow none of them worked. Gas goes from tank to regulator but not into bbq. Threading or pin wrong? Pls advise what other regulator I could use. Ps BBQ purchased in 2013, but has been in storage

Did the regulators have an emergency shut off valve, new ones do. It shuts the flow off if you connect and the gas taps are open. They would require resetting.

Make sure the igniter is not being covered in grease and not sparking. Also, if you had it stored, make sure a tiny critter has not taken up residence in one of the Gas tubes feeding the burner

I have a Coleman Roadtrip XLE. The on/off knobs do not control the gas. The gas comes on FULL bore and give a LARGE flame.

The problem you're having could be the result of a faulty regulator. Replacing the Hose/Regulator Assembly should solve the problem. You can pick one up at any home center or hardware store that sell grills and accessories for about $30.00.

Hope this helped you and happy grilling. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My Coleman roadtrip cooks way too hot. Is there a way to turn down the flow. We are burnig on low.

If you're cooking at the lowest setting and the flames are to high, you will need to replace the gas control valve for the burners. Coleman still stocks some parts for your model. Appliance Factory Parts carries a wider selection of parts.

I hope this helps. Happy Grilling!!
