It either means the ground wire in extension cord is not there or is open. It could also mean that the outlet wasn't wired with a ground back to the panel.

there is a 100uf/63v capacitor near the IRF630 fet. You need to replace this in order to fix this error. Along there is also a 2200uf/16v capacitor. It is a good idea to change the both at the same time.

You have to turn socket of ups power cord 180 degrees, because the ups is measuring voltage between ground and ac-line.

UPS require constant power. Meaning they provide minimal (time)
power to save work and shut shut down properly. The generator would have to run 24/7.

When i power on the ups it show site fault on the display,i checked the earth wire is ok . what can it be a problem?

Hi, here is the documentation page for the 9120 where you can find the manual: http://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/legacy/9120-info.asp You can also contact customer support 800 356 5737 or [email protected]. You may recognize the product as the Powerware 9120 but Powerware was bought by Eaton a few years ago. The customer support team is most ex Powerware and are familiar with the 9120.

Dear sir I have Powerware 9120 UPS since Jan-2007 to till now but yesterday it was getting problem and LCD show SITE FAULT Error what is meaning of that and why it occor and what is sholution. now it is...

If UPS is displaying "Site Fault", it is doing its job correctly. You need to check the wall receptacle. Probably hot and neutral reversed, or the neutral and ground are reversed, by whom ever installed the wall receptacle. You need to have the plug-in for the UPS intact, i.e. the ground pin must not have been cut off. If an extension cord connects the UPS to the wall, thge cord must be working correctly.
