Kenmore high efficiency low water, clothes washing machine. Can I hack it's system to allow it to add more water?

Top load unit, has no spindle, just a smooth ridged low hump. All this dose is tie the clothing into knots, which makes for very a unbalanced spin cycle. I think the problem is the lack of water. The clothing is not suspended in a soapy liquid environment, they are barely damp and come out still covered in soap. Worst machine ever, can't afford another, need to modify...

When I was looking at washing machines the Kenmore high-efficiency machines were meant to freshen clothes not really wash them so you may be putting in too much soap or too many clothes .
If it’s a relatively new machine I would send it back and tell them that it’s not doing what you wanted to do.
If it’s still under warranty you could call that in and I think if you call in like three or four warranty questions they replace it after that.

-You can't hack more water but you can replace the water level sensor
-Sound like the water level sensor is malfunction. How about replace it to find out what happened. You can buy from Amazon
or online. Make sure provide your model number and must match your old one before order.

Good luck

SOURCE: LG1812CW Walks During Spin Cycle

The rear 2 legs are fixed. The front 2 are adjustable. There are lock nuts to prevent the adjustment from coming loose. The front legs are to be adjusted to the minimum. While not running if the machine rocks, continue the adjustment. For few clothes there is a half load switch; best the read the manual well before anything. Well if the walking continues, check the rear for any shocks or springs that may hv fallen off during transport. Plug off the wall socket first.

SOURCE: clothes still damp to wet after spin cycle

You need to clean out your outlet filter; this needs to be done periodically - according to your usage. If this does not solve your problem check out your outlet pump. Plug off the wall first before you do the jobs. The machine will not drain water if the outlet is clogged. And rate me pl, if the solution has worked......

SOURCE: spinning cycle

Keeping in mind that the soap & bleach gets dispensed into your wash on the second to last rinse cycle and that most all rinse cycles are in cold water. Is your cold water valve screen plugged causing your washer to rinse poorly? Are you using the HE detergent? If not maybe the washer is sudsing up to much and having a hard time rinsing all the suds and bleach out and leaving the clothes soapy.

Fill the washer up with no clothes in it on a cold/cold wash setting does it take a long time to fill the washer up? Also when it is full and agitating is there suds in the washer?

Last suggestion is if the drain is hose is a lot higher than the top of the washer it might have a hard time draining out all of the soap water before the next load

SOURCE: Visible water level in front-load clothes washing machine?

Yes, it is normal. There is water in the machine. One of the big draws for this style machine is that they use much less water than top load machines. If you stopped the cycle and opened the door, dug down in the clothes, you would find water. The machine fills a small amount of water (below the level of the door) and tumbles. As the water is absorbed by the clothing, the water level drops, so the machine adds more to maintain the water level. This is basically how the washer figures out how big your clothes load is and how much water that load needs. (Of course most sales persons at the big box stores and Sears have no idea how this works)
If you'd like, try running a cycle with no clothes to see how much water is in the machine. (It's not a lot) Now remember this: Because there is so much less water use than a top load machine, you must cut way way way back on the amount of soap and fabric softener used. Use no more than one tablespoon of HE (High Efficiency) soap (even less if it is 2x or 3x concentrate) and one teaspoon of fabric softener per load !!!!!
This should be a Fix-Ya for your question. Thanks.
