When I power on my TruTech TT320 it comes on in standby mode. I can see it on my tv screen. I can work thru the menus with the remote but I can't get the standby light to go off and I can't get the thing to open so I can put a disc in.

1. check cables (RED ,YELLOW WHITE ) to the correct ports on the DVD and the TV. 2. check to see if you have the TV in DVD mode and or the DVD 3. check remote 4. Age has a lot to do with a device or appliance, 5. check to see if you can watch regular TV , If yes then you may have a malfunctioning DVD 6. If you have a high definition cable check to see if it is seated properly.
I had the same problem. I took it apart and found a blown capacitor on the power board. It was a 10v 1000Uf high temp. capacitor. I replaced it with a new one and the dvd player worked fine. The capacitor can be ordered for a couple bucks and replace easily if you know how to solder.
I typed www.trutechelectronics.com in my web browser and it directed me to the Target.com website. If this is where you bought the product, i would try to contact Target. There must be some way to reset back to original settings.
