Sir, if your phone's 3G or wifi is enabled and it access the internet then you can unlock it by providing you gmail account. if no, then please hard reset it from bootloader
You may need to upgrade to a newer sim card. There have been changes recently, esp. with the broader adoption of, and newer versions of LTE. LTE is a whole different radio system than 3g or even 4g. (It is actually 3g on super steroids) I think a sim upgrade should fix the problem.
