The head of the pump is not sufficient in normal cycle mode, but it is in diagnostic mode. It is a new pump

Turn machine OFF on the front panel. Hold down the Water Temp Down button and press the POWER button. Release buttons. You are in Diagnostic mode. With your service sheet ,Diagnostic chart will explain where the error lights pattern and the path to your solution are.My advice is this....there is a known problem with the wire harness connectors, and the contact that is made at the point of connection. One at a time remove each connector starting at your main control board ,some where there is a loose connection.

There has to be some access somewhere, behind?. Find it out, the problem is with your pump, unplug washer from the electric mains. Drain out your water by lowering the exit hose into bucket or ground drain, dismantle your pump to see what is clogging it. Before that see that the connections to the pump are tight; pull out and refit, it might sort out the problem. Or you have to change the pump. You can do all these yourself. Only note careful as to what came out how & how to refit.

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing(joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove). Now it Works.

Unplug the machine have someone tilt the machine back and look under the machine for a little fan on a motor give it a turn to see if it spins it might just be sticky or it may need replacing.
