SOURCE: We own a RF267AARS/XXA refrigerator.

You'll have to read my in depth review on Epinions.com for answers. Sounds like you bought the updated version that over corrects the "too much" ice which jams the mechanism to where it breaks the unit. This is my second friggen Samsung as my 1st 4 door quatro was replaced under their lemon law. Spending $2500 I thought I was buying quaility, instead I bought greif. I'm still working with Best Buy to get Samsung to fix the icemaker with it's current problem which sounds like yours. Go to the Epinions website and look me up, my username is "walkerpkw" My review was posted last year. Read both my horrifying Samsung reviews. Something is very wrong with their engineering department. You'll find my email address on my profile page. I'd be happy to inform you if the get this fixed. I'm told it's the fridges computer board and they're redisigning another?

I bought a BLOMBERG Refrigerator model KQD1440X and it is suddenly giving me an error 8 on the display. Can I have an explanation on the error 8 and how do I solve it?

Water inlet valve is not working properly. either not letting water through the valve the first time and now it is sticking open and letting water over fill. Replace water inlet valve.

How do i get a service manual?

The bin sensor eyes need to be cleaned or replaced. First remove the front cover then remove the white plastic ice deflector shield. Now you should be looking at the evaporator plate look down you will see the water sump tray full of water in that tray is a black plastic grate that when the ice is harvested it drops and hits the tray keeping it from falling in sump tray PULL it OUT. now just behind the sump where the ice falls through opening on the left and right sides is where the ice full bin eyes are you can pull them out side ways there is plenty of wire so you can pull them up to where you can clean them with a soft cotton cloth with scotsman cleaner. Now for a manual goggle scotsman service manuals you can get a PDF file.

Will not make ice

I have a Samsung RF265AABP model. I had the same problem on several occasions. One time the problem was a broken temperature sensor wire on the ice maker. The sensor assembly often gets snagged on the ice tray or scoop or something and falls down, making it more likely to snag, and prevents the ice maker from cycling when frozen. It is quite easy to remove the ice maker once you get the drawer removed from the slides. It is held in place by two plastic clips located near the back of the slides. Pop the clips out, and then lift the drawer out. Pull the front plastic cover off the ice maker, then remove the two screws holding it to the top of the freezer compartment. Slide the icemaker assembly forward about 1/2 inch and it will drop down. Unplug the wiring connector and the ice maker assembly will drop right out. The temperature sensor is located in a flexible rubber like unit that holds the sensor against the plastic water tray. This whole assembly often falls out, and may be found mixed in with the ice.

I fabricated an aluminum bracket from angle stock to hold the temperature sensor assembly in place, and used a small tie wrap to hold the wire to the bracket, up and out of the way after soldering the broken wire of course. The tie wrap is not shown in the photos below. I drilled and countersunk two holes for the 4-40 screws holding the aluminum bracket. The temperature sensor is not shown in the photo, but the wire comes out the right side and crosses over to the left in front of the aluminum bracket.

How do i get to the sensors for full bin to clean cme506as-1d

Remove front cover, remove ice deflector shield, remove the plastic grate in the sump tray that keeps ice from falling into it. Now just behind the water sump tray where ice falls into bin on the right and left side are the bin full sensors you can see where the wire runs through cabinet from controller to them. grab them and pull straight out to the left and right some times you have to wiggle them while pulling. There is plenty of wire on them so you can pull them out and clean.

Where are the bin full sensors located for cme256ws-1c full light on will not make ice

The bin full sensors are located behind the water sump tray. Pull the front cover off remove the white plastic guard. Remove the ice deflector grate that is in the water sump tray. Now look where the ice falls down into the bin to the right and left side there is where the bin sensors are you have to pull them sideways you can also open the control panel and look where the bin sensor wire runs and follow it. pull the bin sensors and clean the eyes or replace them.

I have a Maytag frid m#PBF2255HEW (bottom freeze w/ice maker. My ice marker currently works but after dumping a tray of ice it "leaks" water into the tray causing all of the ice in tray to be one...

Sounds like the water inlet solenoid is getting stuck open, this is assuming you ice cubes are normal to large in size, Small would indicate the ice maker is leaking, You can try just replacing this valve , It's the valve that connects to the water hose behind your refrigerator and is fastened to the lower corner of refrigerator. Otherwise you can purchase the entire ice maker and solenoid kit for around 65.00 Hope this helps

My ice marker will not stop making ice the arm

This problem is going to be the ice maker itself. The arm you are talking about is the shut-off mechanism for the ice machine. Just before the ice machine starts to make ice, the arm slowly rises. Then the arm falls down, if there is ice blocking the arm from falling all the way down it will not make ice because there is plenty! If the arm is able to fall down completely, the ice machine will make ice like normal. If your ice maker is making ice regardless of the arms position, something is wrong with the ice maker. Depending on who replaces this, it could cost anywhere from $100 to $200.
