Dear Sir,
As I know Sony DVD VRD-MC6 do not have HDMI input so it not possible to record your video direct from iphone . but I phone has support to hdmi output thru iphone to hdmi cable and your Sony DVD VRD-MC6 has AV input so you need a one another device which call hdmi to AV converter it will work but your video quality will compromise.

If you want to record video form computer you need external dvd writer and one dvd burning software
After that you just copy your iphone videos thru usb cable and burn thru dvd burning software

SOURCE: with sony dvdirect vrd-mc5, can I burn pictures from my computer

Yes and no... you can not hook it up directly to your computer and burn copies of pix. You can however transfer your pictures to a memory card (SD, MS or CF) and then put that in the VRD-MC5 and burn your pix.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Motorola VIP1216 DVR and Sony VRD-MC5 Connections for Recording?

I have the same problem currently. I have successfully recorded to the Sony CM5 in the past from my DVR, but no longer can. I have Comcast and wonder if they have changed the DVR firmware and blocked output. Also some broadcasts have something in the signal to stop recording. I got half of my program done, and can't record the rest on DVD. I will try to DVR local news, then record to the Sony, to see if it's a signal issue or something with the Sony. I haven't tried to record from a VCR.

Hi, sometimes it depends on the DVD brand, I always use PHILIPS DVD + R, but never use DVD - R. Never had any issues with these discs

I am trying to copy a VHS to DVD from a VHS player. I have a Sony VRD-MC6 multi-function DVD Recorder. I am using the A/V cable and have verified that they are correctly placed. The Sony player will...

Is it possible the VHS you're trying to copy is copy-protected? Apparently, the MC6 displays "waiting for signal" when you're attempting to copy a copy-protected (commercial) video. I had success converting my own homemade VHS tapes. I just bought my MC6, and thought I'd pass along some tips I got from others: You know you're recording when a red ring around the large Record button lights up and it actually says "recording" on screen, and adjust HQ to SP to get 2-plus hours of video on the DVD.

How can i buy all the cables to the sony vrd-mc6

Yeah most common problem that consumers encounter. Recently I adquire one for my production company. yeah, I search around and the best site was amazon.com. Depending in your camera model you would have to chec if is rca videos plugs type or Dv to Dv, USB, or IILink, in my case from my Sony camera to the Sony recorder I use the Dv to Dv. Just chec your specifications to make sure.
Amazon.com has one of the most wide variety in cables that I have found in the internet one place and affordable.

Needs driver for vista or win 7 Sony VRD-VC10 DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner

Sony does not support this burner for any operating system for Win2k and XP. The VRD-VC30 is supported in Win7 but no earlier models (from the Microsoft Compatibility Center). The Vista Compatibility Center lists the VRD-VC20 as unknown for Vista support.

There are work-arounds. Install XP as a virtual computer or in a dual boot configuration on your system and install the hardware on the "XP box". If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can download and install the XP mode for a free virtual computer. (This requires you to download two programs from Microsoft and install them (Virtual PC and the XP mode itself). Otherwise, you will need a valid XP license to install in the virtual computer software. The dual boot may work better for you since virtual computers can't share files from the main computer directly. They need to be transfered to external media or a different partition or disc that unmounted from the real computer and mounted on the virtual computer.

I hope this helps.
