Hi, My zanussi washer is showing up an error code of E52. Motor was removed and checked with a multi meter and everything seems ok. Reading across tachometer was 185 ohms, across windings was 2.3. Is there anything else that would show up this fault

SOURCE: Sony KP 51WS510 convergence problem

You should get service manual and new ohm meter to check parts.
If tools are no good, results will not be good in any case.

I do not compromise on tools quality.

D board replacement is so early decision. As I told you, +22 and -22 should be available in D board. If such voltages are not there, how can convergence ICs carry out the job?

Please have service manual on any online manual store and check power supply area, why +22 and -22 are not being supplied.

Pico fuses should be checked out of board or at least one pin should be unsold to test fuse.
In circuit test of fuse is not good idea and can misguide you with wrong results.

SOURCE: Kenwood Chef A701A Motor - not running

I know this may sound stupid, but check that you have the earth wire from the mains connector, athinish black wire connected to the terminal on the mixer. My Kenwood would not run after i made a capacitor repar. The motor just "Buzzed" until i put the thin black earth strap back onto the casing.
I sincerely hope this helps,

Check the low oil sending unit.(Make SURE there is enough oil in the unit) Take the 2 wires off and join together. If the unit starts, then replace the sending unit and put the 2 wires back on. good luck

I have zanussi ZWH 6140 P WATER WONT DRAIN ERROR CODE 5 FLASHING RED LED LIGHTS?

First, always check carbon brushes on main motor especially if the appliance is in use for several years.

Five times the red alarm means a problem with the engine washing.
So, could be:

E51 - Motor power triac short-circuited.
Current leakage from motor or from wiring; Main PCB faulty
E52 - No signal from motor tachometric generator.
Wiring faulty; Motor faulty; Main circuit board faulty.
E53 - Motor triac sensing circuit faulty (wrong input voltage to
microprocessor). Main circuit board faulty.
E54 - Motor relay contacts sticking (high voltage level when
the relay switches to OFF).
Current leakage from motor or from wiring; Main PCB faulty;

Rapid reading last alarms:
Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button simultaneously (4 and 6) for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

Cycle problem

Let the machine cycle without water or load, just let it spin just to isolate the problem if its the motor or the timer circuit. If it still stops without water, its the problem with your timer. That one needs further diagnosis. Double check any loose wires or and faulty electrical and electronic component using a multi meter tester. If you found nothing suspicious, replacing the timer might fix the issue. If it doesn't stop without load or water, its the motor problem. The motor can be replaced as well.

2010 DODGE caravan a/c blower fan inop have replaced reistor and control head rear fan works have checked all relays and fuses

Hi Jim, I will try my best to help you. First off, let see what we are losing at the blower motor. Three things I want you to do. #1-With a multi-meter check the power side at the blower motor connector and see if you have a full 12 volts. #2-With a test light hooked to the battery positive terminal, check the ground side at the blower motor connector to see if you have a good ground, the test light should be good and bright. #3-With the multi-meter set on ohm's check across the actual blower motor connector a resistance reading of up too 7 ohms is OK, but if you have a reading above like 14 to 22 ohms then replace the motor. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Jim!

E52 fault code displays on ZWF1430S Zanussi and drum does not turn in wash or spin cycle. Can you advice?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Zanussi 'E52' decodes as 'no signal from the motor tachometer' which ties in with the fact that the drum does not turn. Sorry but it looks like an engineer call-out, either for the motor or the control ;-0(
Good luck,

Error message E50 shows when the machine is switch on.

Zanussi washing machines can sometimes display error code E50. As John Lewis washing machines are currently also made by Zanussi some John Lewis washing machines can also display error E50.

Unfortunately this is not a "proper" error code and is not listed in error code lists. It's part of the motor fault error code group and is apparently displayed to customers but when an engineer enters a special diagnostic display the "proper" error code will be displayed giving more information.

However, there are usually only two error codes beginning with E5 which are E51 and E52, which are "motor power triac short circuited" and "no signal from the motor tachometric generator" respectively.

So if you have E50 displayed on a Zanussi or John Lewis washing machine it looks like a problem with the motor. However, the E51 "motor power triac short circuited" could be a fault on one of the PC boards as triacs are usually on printed circuit boards. This could have blown due to a short circuit somewhere else (like the motor for example) - I would advise that an engineer is required if you can't see anything obvious with the motor.

Error code E52 can't find manuel doesn't spin fast

bad signal from tacho generator. You have to disconnect the plug from the drive motor and measure the resistance pins 4&5 in the motor. if the reading is between 105 & 130 ohms, replace the speed control board. if the meter reads other than between 105&130 ohms replace the motor.

Hi zanussi fjr 1254 w error code e90 what does

This error code seems to be the control board detecting a wrong configuration (in other words, an illogical set of sensing conditions, from its connected sensors and wiring). It apparently can happen, when wires become badly contacting, or if contaminated with motor brush carbon (the horrible black powder that comes off the motor commutator and brushes), or corroded from other contaminants from the soap dispenser area. You should be able to check this, remove, clean and replace the contacts:
Thanks

Drum is not moving

as a first step, check the motor brushes for continuity across the commutator. take brushes out and release them from the motor to see if worn. this can be done with motor in situ but you may find it easier to take the motor out completely
