SOURCE: Xerox Copier Machine - Error U4

The fuser is not warming up.
On that machine under the web there is a thermal fuse on a white plastic mount, it has one screw through it.
It is most likely blown. Possibly caused by a jammed paper in the fuser.
That fusable link needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Xerox XC 1020 copier code H4

With "H4" flashing press:
1.Clear button
2.Auto button then again

3.Clear button
4.Auto button

It should be done quickly. If it's done quickly enough all lights on display should go off.

5.Enter number 14 (as if you are making 14 copies).
6. Press START/COPY button.

The machine goes back to normal. If not, thermistor on the fuser (heater) should be replaced.

SOURCE: Xerox 5760 Color Copier has fault 03-302 at start-up

On these codes, on the back of the machine, unplug the harness that goes to all the boards on each one of them. Unplug and replug them all.
Do this one at a time.
Unplug them on the power supplies and the vertical high voltage powersupply.
Be very careful when pulling off the plugs, some are hard to release the snap that holds the plug to the boards.
This harness has about 5 large wires on them, they are the DC Wires.
If this happens again, the vertical power supply may need replacing or and even both Low voltage power supply and High voltage power supply at the same time.
Also, this problem may also be associated to NVM corruption on the main board. The battery on the main board has a life for about 10 years. The NVM may be corrutpted and changed the values, so the machine may not start up correctly.
If replacing the NVM Battery(chip) the large thick one, the date needs to be checked on the battery, and the right NVM( chip) needs to be installed on the Right Main board, along with the Right eproms. They need to be matched before replacing.
Even if the chip is replaced, the NVM values need to be checked and set to the right configuration to the machine model being used. There are many areas to be checked and reset to the right configuration and if it is not done properly the machine will not work, giving constant errors.
This is involved technical service and if the machine is really needed, A Xerox service call is needed to do the repairs on this model.

SOURCE: scanning bar is stuck, won't slide, just clicks

Did you try unlocking the transportation locks?
There are 2, one on the left side of the scanner and one on the top cover.

Here is a site with some pictures on how to do it.

I have a Xerox XD 100 work centre showing a H-4 code what is the problem?.

The H4 code on these machines is almost always a false code. Especially if you have had any power fluctuations or failures.
Here is the text from my tip to solving this problem here on Fixya:
To reset the H3 or H4 condition on just about any Xerox XC or XD series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Now key in 14 as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Now press the print button.
The machine should reset and the code should be gone.
9 times out of 10 this is a false code that pops up due to power surges or noise.
If the code comes back this means you have a heater lamp or thermal fuse (more common) failure in the fusing area and will need service.
This procedure will work on all Xerox XD and XC models.

Xerox XD or XC Series Copier Drum Light Drum Unit Reset Procedure

To reset the drum light on just about any Xerox XC or XD series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Then key in 24 as if you were going to make 24 copies.
Now press the "print" button
Now key in 7 as if you were making 7 copies
Now press the print button again.
You should now be getting flashing zero's on the display.
Turn the machine off then on again and your drum light should be gone!
You can usually reset this counter at least once to get twice the life out of your drum unit.
This works on nearly all Xerox XD and XC Series copiers.

How to pull out my cleaner belt assembly on my xerox 7750 printer

I am assuming you mean the accumulator/transfer belt assembly.
You want to open the front cover and lower the drum latch bar, as if you were replacing a drum.
On the right side of the machine toward the top you will see a small door, about 4 inches by 14 inches. Open that door, slide the unit about 6 inches until it stops. The on the left side of the unit there is a little metal latch that you lift up to release the unit so it will slide out of the machine. Once you get it about half way out there is a handle to grab onto and remove the belt assembly. If you happen to have a finisher on the printer, you will have to remove it before you can take the assembly out.

E2 error code on Xerox work centre xd series 120f copier

e2 is a paper jam problem. check that the paper guides in the cassette are positioned aginst the paper properly. Also remove the toner and drum cartridge. Clean all rubber rollers that you can get to with a damp cloth ( water). You are especially trying to clean the upper and lower registration rollers that "pinch" the paper. I hope that this helps.

I wasn't sure of the model when I asked the question on the Xerox WorkCentre M20 where the scanner bar does not move or the lamp does not move but a few inches and goes back and stops!!! The model is a...

No, That would be different. I would UNPLUG the machine and remove the glass. Then slide the lamp carriage back and forth to see what it is binding on. Could just be a cover or hitting a sensor in the scan path. On that machine there is a home position sensor that the lamp will often catch on. You would feel it hit the bracket when you slide the lamp back to the start position. It would hit about an inch or 2 before it locates all the way back to the left. If thats it, you have to carefully bend either the sensor bracket or the metal flag onthe lamp carriage itself to hit the sensor centered.

Need printer driver for Windows Vista

It' also listed at Microsoft as incompatable with vista. Best you can do is get a cheap old used machine that runs XP and set it up as a print server for your network, (set it up with printer sharing) send all of your documents thru it for printing. Sorry it's probably not the answer you were looking for but it is the only solution I've found for mine. I bought an old P3 machine running XP for $5.00 at a garage sale and it's working great as a print server.
