Hi all, I have an Oki MC562 printer which has a 980 error. I’ve read blogs and it states that replacing the fuser fixes the problem. I have tried a new fuser but the error remains. Any ideas on how to fix or hard reset the whole printer?

From the Service Manual:
*Service call
980:Error

*Error by media
clinging to the fuser

*Media has clung to the fuser.

*Power OFF
Replace the fuser unit.

Suggestion -
Before you replace the fuser, take it out and check for a piece of stuck label, paper, etc. You can spin the fuser roller by turning the gear on the side.

I had a paper jam and removed the jammed papers. The paper jam cleared and then the Fatal Error 980 appeared. OKI C5500 printer

i got that error on the first day i got my oki c5950 it was a result of a paper jam in the fuser unit, i removed the jamed paper but the error was still there, i contacted oki support and got a detailed explanation on how to fix this error with a patch file, so if u or anyone out there r still having that problem send me a mail on [email protected] and i will forward u the info.
