SOURCE: craftsman 42" riding lawn mower blade free spinning but wont cut

It sounds to me that you need a new mower deck drive belt, or your blades need sharpening. If the blade edges are rounded, they won't cut butter... Also, when mower is off, check mower deck drive pulleys to make sure you don't have any that are locked up or are dragging. You can check this by pulling the belt away from pulley and spinning the pulley by hand. MOWER MUST BE OFF before attempting any of these checks. You would be surprised how many people would try this with the mower running.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: Cant remove blade on lawn mower

Follow directions. See if this works;

Blade Maintenance
Warning! Switch off, remove the isolator
key, battery and grassbox before adjusting
or cleaning.
Always wear gardening gloves when handling
or working near the sharp blades.
Turn the machine on its right side and inspect
the blade; if blunt or damaged, replace.
Use the following procedure to remove and replace
the blade:
Insert a screwdriver into hole 26 to lock the
drive. Hold the blade 30 using gardening gloves
(not provided) and use a spanner (not provided)
to remove the blade bolt 29, blade washer 28
and blade 30.
Fit the blade 30, blade washer 28 and the blade
bolt 29. Ensure that the blade is the correct way
up (so that this symbol can be seen located
as in figure I) and tighten the bolt 29 firmly.
Ensure the screwdriver is removed before attempting
to turn the machine on.

If this procedure does not work then try the following;

It is not uncommon for the blade bolt to become seized onto the shaft due to all the gunk and moisture on the underside of the deck. Try to soak the bolt several times over with penetrating oil ( WD 40, PB Blaster, etc). Spray the bolt head, the top of the blade where it contacts the shaft, etc. Do this several times and let the penetrating oil soak in. Hit the bolt head gently several times with a hammer to loosen up the corrosion. Then try to remove the bolt per directions.
Hope this helps, if so Please rate, Thanks, and Good Luck!

SOURCE: Does Not drive, belt position not sure is correct,

"belt position not sure is correct," from your description above

The first thing to do would be make sure belt position is correct, connected and tight.
This system is quite simple, the belt goes in the pulley on the engine shaft and the pulley on the transaxle only, nothing else. Using a short piece of rope or anything else readily available, temporarily tie down the safety bail (handle) and engage the drive handle. Now check your belt, it should be fairly tight and you should not be able to turn the transaxle pulley without considerable effort, if it is easy to turn, replace the belt. Now release the safety bail (handle)
If the drive belt seems to be working okay as above, remove the front wheels and inspect the gear teeth in them. If the outer half of the teeth are worn down more than 1/2 the original size as compared to the inner half, replace the wheels.
While you have the wheels off, if you have a couple of blocks of wood or similar items, set one under each corner of the front of the main frame outside the arch of the blade and start the engine, engage the drive and observe the pinion gears, they should both be turning. If they are not, then you have a bad transaxle and are going to have to either replace it , use it strictly as a push mower, or replace the mower.

SOURCE: blade engagement lever won't disengage

If this is a manual engagment system all the lever does is to pull a jockey wheel into the back of the belt to tention it thus starting the blades to turn, so either the cable is jammed that pulls the jockey wheel in, or the jockey wheel arm is seized and needs freeing off to allow the jockey to to move to the relaxed position.

How to remove motor cover Black & Decker lawn mower EMAX32

Before you start removing covers and panels unplug the mower. Turn the mower over and carefully try to spin the blade by hand. Your checking to where the issue is most likely to be.
Does the motor sound different when you pull the Start trigger? If it sounds a lot faster than normal, it could be an issue between the motor and gearbox.
Does the blade spin really easily and feel like it's not bolted down? Does the blade not turn at all like it's 'locked' or 'jammed'?
- A loose or floppy blade is commonly the centre mount bolt for the blade is loose or the blade isn't seated correctly.
- A 'locked' blade could be a gearbox or a motor issue.

My son removed the batteries from our Earthwise 24 volt mower. We got replacement batteries and need to put them in but need a wiring diagram or instructions to put the wires back in the correct terminals.

The red and blue posts are jumpered on the right side if you are looking from the front. (There is just a wire connecting these two terminals)

The other red post has red and turquoise wires. The other blue post has white, blue and black wires going to it.
Sometimes easier to find solutions under Homelite brand. Exact same mower.

I have an old homelite brush king that all of a sudden won't spin the blade under a load. When there's no load it runs fine. ?? Any suggestions where to begin.

Sounds like a clutch problem. IF it is, you need to disassemble the tube shaft from the power head to get to it.Normal operation is just the opposite of what your machine is doing.

If the blade is turning it should cut grass. Try mowing. If it's not cutting the grass then the blade is not turning, or is no longer turning at the proper speed. Look for a fuse or circuit breaker. But after 2 years the battery may have a problem. Try the manufacturers website for help: http://www.blackanddecker.com/en-us/support
