Help.yahoo mail the inbox feature not working

On the Yahoo Mail sign-in screen, click the "I can't access my account" link.

Yahoo! Mail's standard interface works with Internet Explorer 7 and higher. However, Internet Explorer 7 users may be unable to use the reply bar, slideshows or Yahoo! Messenger from their inbox.

To access these features, use at least Internet Explorer 9. All Internet Explorer users must have Windows 7, XP or Vista to use the standard form of Yahoo! mail. Mac operating systems using Internet Explorer are not supported by the current version of Yahoo! Mail.
Older Option


Users who want to use Yahoo! Mail Classic will find it compatible with Internet Explorer 6, as well as newer versions of the browser.

Yahoo! announced to customers in July 2011 that it would soon stop supporting Internet Explorer 6. Yahoo! Mail Classic works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista, as well as Windows 7.

Yahoo! Mail Classic lacks many of the upgrades found in the current version of the email program.

While Yahoo! Mail supports older versions of Internet Explorer, the company recommends that users upgrade to the most current version.

Yahoo! says using the newest browser software provides more speed and added protection against viruses and software.
Enabling ActiveX

If you plan to use the current version of Yahoo! Mail on a Windows machine, you'll want to enable your computer's ActiveX controls so you can access all the features of the email program.

To do this, go to the "Tools" menu or the gear symbol in Internet Explorer, then select "Internet Options" and "Security."

Click on "Internet," then "Custom Level."
Scroll down to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting." Enable each of these options and save your settings.

Reboot Internet Explorer.

You can change the sorting of your incoming mail easily with Yahoo! Mail.
Open your Internet browser and go to Yahoo! Mail.
Login to your Yahoo! account.

Click on "Inbox".
To sort messages, click on the column header that you want to sort by (sender, date, subject or size).
One click and your mail is instantly resorted.

recovery is not guaranteed but you may try any of these solutions:

1. Login to your yahoo mail account.
2. Go to the trash folder.
3. Open the desired message
4. Click Move so it will be moved either to Inbox or any other folder you desire.
5. You may also take advantage of the drag and drop feature of yahoo mail.

this is what I found and it may or may not help. Good Luck.

1. This problem is due to the busy Yahoo! Mail server.

2. Because of busy server all the features or options of any particular web page don't become enable!

3. Such a web page is not completely loaded on the web browser, and it produces errors!

4. You should try to Refresh / Reload the page to prevent this problem!

5. Login to your account, and delete the old & uneccessary mails from your mail box.

6. Cluttered and full mail box can also create such problems!

If you using the new version of yahoo mail try using classic version .....yahoo new version sometimes gives error or some occasional error due to upgradation.

I guess what you mean is how you can import your messages to MSN mail box. You can only import or export your contacts vice versa.

The easy way although quite tedious is to go to your inbox and forward the messages to your email address in your MSN mail.

e.g open your inbox ....... click the message and open it.
click the forward button and type in your MSN email address and click send.

Another quicker way although not tested is to convert your yahoo email to the yahoo classis email. it has better features to forward many messages simultaenously

Sometimes those attractive featured ads can be really dangerous for your account safety. Opening your inbox and finding a flood of spam mails is irritating though, but Yahoo has an option to keep your inbox clean from spam mails. To avoid spam you add filters to different folders contain different criteria. It will also help you to sort and organize your incoming mails.
