If the thermostat knob is broken replace it as long as it didn't hurt the mechanism you should be good to go
Thermostat knob is OK or broken if broken then it use only when you sit there....not at sleeping time....

Bypass the 3 way (hi, med, low) switch, unfortunately it'll always be in the high position when you do this. I have done this with one of my heaters and as long as the thermostat is working properly then it will work as it should on the high setting. I took the extra step of connecting the LED light to the bypass so I know when its on.
Just remember to turn it off you'll need to unplug it.

There are two knobs on it and two selector switches.
The switches you can switch on only one for half power and two for full power.
One knob is the most important the thermostat which set the maximum temperature to reach in the room and when it reached it switch off the heating elements. Adjust to most comfortable one for you, it is not in degrees scale but in number 1-9 but you can test it and decide.
