Question about JVC Audio Players & Recorders
When I insert a music CD and close the door, the CD spins but does not play. When I pass the play button the CD door opens. I do not have a remote. Can you pease suggest a fix?
Hi Mark, so you account for your JVC, you are not reading the CD, should you indicate on the display, "NO DISC", have you tried to clean the lens of the laser reader, with a cotton swab with a little alcohol?
Another possibility would be that you had, low emission of the reader, which could be adjusted, using the necessary instruments
If after cleaning the reader, it does not work, I suggest you look for a specialized technical service
I hope to solve the problem

One possible problem is the display IC of your JVC is damaged already or it is not connected properly due to mishandling. display IC has small pins and therefore have small connectors, even if you trace those connections you may find it hard to solder it, but if you have the right tools you may proceed. To trace the pins of the display IC if it is connected you must use an Ohmmeter. Here is a simple steps: an ohmmeter has two wires that has a pin on both ends, most tester has colored wires the red and black. You must point in contact either pins on the subject points in the circuit and the other pin on the circuits also it must be in contact. If the ohmmeters display gives a reading of 0, then there is connection, otherwise it will give a number that indicates there is resistance which means there is no connection or poor connection on the subject. Repeat this procedure until you find all possible disconnection. NOTE: Do this only on the part on the dispaly IC and the DISPLAY connections.
But the best thing to do about it is to bring it to the service center.
I hope i've provided some form of help to you.

Hello i had the same problem..maybe you have already fixed this but on the back you have the speakers and a pair of red and black switches, you have to put the wires into the holes on the TOP (not the sides) of the little box on the back...then once you have put the wires in flick the flaps UP :)
Sorry if you have already solved this problem but I hope it will come in use for someone.
