Multiple clicking sounds coming from AC unit before AC unit turns on or before furnace turns on.

the is a 24v wire that feeds from your thermostat to your unit, inside there is a contactor that engages, this makes a click sound as it really is a basic mechanical part the makes metal touch metal to allow current to flow through the system, perfectly normal, your hearing the low voltage engage the highvoltage at the contactor.

If throttling sound comes it may from bearings or non alignment of blower wheel. But in your unit I think, it's freon flowing. Some times it may happens from to non serviced unit for long time. Service your unit. Helpful?

Only one walkie talkie produces sound

Check for Squelch Codes you can see on the display channel number and sub chanel number this is the squelch code
Both displays must show the same icons
If both are the same, try with and audio accesorie, if works may be your speaker is broken.
