I have a Emerson 6 disk CD changer. The door no longer opens and its making a funny noise. What can be wrong with it?

Did you change the battery ? If so try disonnecting and reconnecting the CD changer.

I had the same problem. You have to take it to the dealer and they have a trade-in program. I forget what the price was, it will cost you around $400 and the unit they will put in is refurbished. But I have not had any problems with the refurbished unit. They have known about the problems with the CD player but it still costs the consumer money.

Well if you didn't already know all jeep chrysler dodge factory cd players don't work very well. I have sprayed high pressure air into mine and it has help but may not solve the problem permanently. I would suggest buying a new cd player. sorry

Your drive belts are stretched out and need to be replaced. Cost 10 bucks on ebay.

Concorde lxi 2004 6 disk cd changer is not playing or ejecting cds. I just hear clicking noises and whirring.
look for reset botton and hold for 3 seconds if it dosent work replace the cd changer if you need a price call me at 520-882-8979

My BMW X5 6 CD Alpine changer is jammed and will not work. How do I fix it and remove the disk?
If the issue is you cannot eject the cartridge this would be simple.
Slide the changer door open as if ejecting the cartridge. Take a credit card/driver license and insert about 2 to 3 inches between cartridge and chassis. You should hear a click and the cartridge should eject.
Once the cartridge is out check to make sure there isnt a stuck CD in the changer. If there is remove the loose CD. If the CD is stuck in the player itself insert the empty cartridge the changer will cycle through the process. Once it stops you can press eject button and the CD should be in the cartridge.

6 disk will not eject
you are all correct......

as are many other people with 6 disk cd changers in the same boat. check out this web site i have found at least 15 others with the same problem ( round about , but all problems relate to the 6 disk cd changer.)
the 6 disk changer is not excluse part to bose.
i recommend forcebaly removing the dam thing trying not to damage it further,( savge smashing the cd changer cassette) and trying to get a new one somewhere)

really though, you should consider surgury, - > open it and obtain spare parts to repair in the usual bodging fashion. ( that is to say any way you can ) or else return to manufacturer for remanufactured or replacement units at a cost or try to find replacement units on line such as ebay.

Pioneer cdx fm653 6 disk changer won't power up
first try to get another display, maybe it's broken (could be the cable cutted), the changer with a motor noise in the moment you plug it, tell me that its ok (95%).

What is a good lock radio to get these days? I got this thing a couple of days ago to replace an older model with pretty much the same features auto set, dual alarms, that had started to randomly reset the time zones - not good for making it to work... I noticed that it had been updated and the control redesigned, so there were some more bells and whistles. Big mistake - HUGE! The instructions were too small to read, so found the manual on-line, enlarged it to 200%, which I could then see, but it wasn't written in any kind of logical order. Altogether completely and unnecessarily counter-intuitive and complicated. Took me HOURS to set up, and I'm no dummy. I have to go back to the instructions just to change the alarm or even change a radio station. Back it goes. So now I'm trying to find a suitable replacement - auto set and dual alarms are required, and it would be nice to have digital tuning instead of a dial. Don't want or need projection, a weather report, presets, a usb port, or an iPod charging station. There are some units out there that seemed ok, and were well-reviewed, but all the negative comments were about the directions, difficulty of set-up, multiple-function, unmarked buttons that needed to be pushed in particular combinations to get anything to work, and the complexity of changing settings. Sorry for the long rant, but I've been searching all day, and the 5 - 10 top-rated models all have this same issue! Any suggestions or solutions out there that don't cost $300+, or are only to be found used on ebay? Many thanks for your help! Marianne
