Check to see if the carb is gravity fed or has a fuel pump. If it gravity fed then trace the line back to the tank checking for an obstruction. Make sure there is no obstruction in the tank. Flush the tank and lines. If it has a fuel pump, make sure it is working properly. If fuel is at the carb. then you may have to clean the carb and adjust the float.

Yamaha golf cart gas will only run when spray starting fluid in carb

Most likely carb bowl is dirty and /or float needle valve is clogged. Clean them and use only fresh gas afterwards. Also check filter.

My gas powered gulf cart will start and crank when i push on the gas but will not go. What would cause that?

Hi sounds like a blocked main jet in the carby if it's running on petrol..cheers

My golf cart has to crank more than necessary before engine starts. Choke does not seem to make a difference.

The carb choke circuit is most likely plugged which is why it has slow starting. The clunk may be from the engine idle being set to high. It probably is running high idle because it has carb issues and the fuel system may need cleaning.

If the Cart sat for months, I would bet the ethanol gas gummed up your carb. Ethanol gas.... What are our politicians thinking????
